I have a friend who left a few household items outside the front of her house, including a working washing machine with a note "Working. Free. Please help yourself". The thing is, and this has happened to me several times, that when you declutter and chuck 'that shit' away is usually a day or 2 before you need to use that left handed reverse thrust grommet on something, and have to make a journey and PAY for a bit you've just chucked out.
Just buy more storage boxes!

Or like me, I know I had one but I can't recall if I slung it lent it or it's put somewhere safe, so I get another...

When I buy a bike i'd often buy some spares, such as a set of pads, in case I need them urgently. If I can't fix something cos I'm waiting on delivery, it means using the horror that is public transport and of course the added expense. The trouble is I often sell bikes quickly and don't get to use the spares and they end up in the shed or loft-of-plenty. I've stopped that approach now as delivery times are so much quicker for online ordering, but I'm still finding parts everywhere!

I'm going to empty my loft this year so it can be properly insulated. I dread to think of what I'll find up there and how much Mrs T will be moaning at me for wasting money!

My colleague has a ruthless approach to everything he owns. If he hasn't needed it in the last 3 months - it's gone! He actually has no unrquired kitchen gadgets in his cupboards, What a weirdo!
