That's mainly how I don't buy bikes, I start off a bit interested and then convince myself that it doesn't make sense.
procrastination is the thief of bikes, or something like that!

See it. Like it. Buy it.

I guess you just find a better place to park, or put up with the straining.
It's 9 years since I sold the Pan, and I wouldn't go back to a bike of that sort of weight, personally. Despite diligently checking cambers, parking options etc there always seemed to be a situation from time to time when I got caught out. Like trying to paddle the bike backwards into a tight spot in a bike bay while cars were waiting to get by, and struggling to get the bike over small humps in the ground in the process

I was a bit weedy though, even then, so if you aren't, go for it :D

BTW if you're patient, a second hand NT1100 will be £8k in a couple of years.

Well it seems the wife's bike might have sold, so I don't get to trade it in for a Crosstourer. Boo.

The cash will pay off her car loan, which we've been over paying by a grand a month. So there might be some cash for something in the near future. I do fancy another Varadero.

You don't have to buy a bike that's like you, big and ugly.

But all my bikes are big and/or ugly.

I did really like my old 'Dero. No one else does. Which is good as it means they're about half the price of the same year/miles GS.

My genuinely quick friend quite rated the Varadero he had as a loan bike for a little while.
