Just managed to get a weekday off work so have hopefully got myself and my Son booked into novice for this one. (Only places left)
Will be a good opportunity to follow him around and try and get some footage on my new ‘go pro’ type camera.
Also be great to catch up with the Pembrey crew who I assume will be in inters?
And to meet up with @dern as we’re only down the road from you near Didcot.
Excellent, look forward to seeing you both there.
I'm in Inters at this one, pretty sure Kev @2xtwins on the invalid carriage is in Novice too , so there will be a fair gang of you in there

See you in the morning Dern, you know the bike to look out for.
The rocket?
You won't be able to miss me I suspect...
The KTM is the backup as my 1290's baffle hasn't arrived yet. I'm going to use it on the sighting lap as I've never taken it on track before.
Don't forget to do the online briefing tonight, they get quite cross and so does everyone in the sign in queue if you're the one who hasn't
All sorted here...we've all done our online briefings and the Niken @, Tricky 's van and @Dodgy knees's steed are safely ensconced outside the front door of the Premier Inn.
Suitably fed and watered, we are retiring for the night hopefully to better weather tomorrow... Yep, it had started raining again as we were leaving the Beefeater.
Had a long and wine d trip down via farm shop. Its a lovely part of the world, crop field's and range rovers everywhere. Pie n mash a few beers and sleep.
Home at 7pm, motorway way. Well, what a cracking day had. Poor weather threatened but the sun won the day, got quite windy though. Its a nice track but your kind of split as vans are parked down the road from garage's, but food and toilets all good.
Great to meet Dern accompanied with campervan and trailer. Kev has definitely got to grips with the Niken and those lean angles must of been at the limits of that funny front end. Singlesman and son were in attendance and enjoying themselves immensely. Thanks for the coffee.
Tricky was great company as usual and the green machine was flying in Inters. Camera's were attached so will see what footage is worth a watch or not.
Cheers gents for making it a very enjoyable weekend.
Excellent day all round. Energy levels weren’t back to normal but didn’t want to miss another track day. Did all but the last two sessions so that’s not too bad.
First session on the adv 1190 scratched that itch and won’t be doing it again. It’s a big lump. The trail attack tyres weren’t very confidence inspiring.
The rest of the day was on the Honda, still love that bike to bits. Wasn’t as fast as normal but also was ok. Front felt a bit wayward sometimes, probably tiredness resulting in me holding on to the bars too tight. Felt a bit odd scrubbing a new s22 in on the track but three laps did it.
The new (to me) motolug trailer was excellent although the 1190 felt like a lump on that as well as on track. Easy to load and unload.
Really nice to meet everyone. Watching that Niken lean in the corner is both highly impressive and very alarming all at the same time. I was really impressed with it.
I’m tempted to buy a 600… I really should be faster on a 1000 than I am and a smaller engine bike with be less embarrassing
I’m still getting really small front end slides on the bike which are pretty disconcerting. I think I need some training and to do some exercise to enable me to move off the bike more.
I also got the from tyre howling under braking at the end of the long straight a couple of times when I left it a bit late. Never had that happen before.

Yes, it's got ktech flow valves and springs set up for me. They's S22's set at 29 cold. The recommendation from Bridgestone is 30 but they feel better at 29. This takes them to 32 hot. I'm not running them to the edge.
It's only small movements, maybe I'm too sensitive to movement over small imperfections in the track or banding.
I think it’s fair to say that a good time was definitely had by all the RTTL-ers at Bedford yesterday- it started for me in meeting @2xtwins and @Dodgy knees D for the almost compulsory pre-trackday pints and dirty food PremierInn experience on Sunday evening, and a very enjoyable evening it was too.
I’d literally just got back from a little cross-channel jaunt on the Multi which very enjoyable as that was ( and will get a write up (with pictures! ) in my other thread over the next day or so) , the last 100 miles of the journey from the tunnel to home were in the pissing rain on the M26/M25/M40, and I was using the same lid and gloves so I made full use of the room facilities and my kit spent that night (almost) drying out on the towel rail
Monday morning came and it was a bit damp at the circuit which made the first couple of sessions a bit tentative, particularly when you’re working out which way the circuit goes, but it soon cleared and dried out and turned into a cracking day.
I was a bit concerned at the beginning as when I pulled the bike out of the van one of the fork seals was pissing oil, but I think it was just a bit of crap stuck in there somewhere as it sorted itself out within a few sessions and didn't affect my enjoyment.
Here is the old girl is having a rest between sessions, just in case any of you have forgotten what a green ZX6 looks like
It was the first time I’d been to Bedford, and although I’d heard mixed reviews and wasn’t expecting to like it too much, I now think it’s a great little circuit- admittedily it’s no Cadwell or Donington, but it is enough to be interesting and has what must be the longest back straight of any circuit in the UK- a fact that had completely passed me by leading up to the event and took me by surprise.
It’s long enough to get completely flat out in top on just about anything, I certainly did on the little green bike, and although the speedo is undoubtedly very optimistic, my little (still wobbly ) video will give you an idea of just how long the straight is- probably needless to say, but rest assured absolutely no lap records and very few apexes were troubled by me at any time yesterday
Overall another top day, and the bike was brilliant- I hadn't managed to swap the rear tyre since Lydden, but after putting another 5psi in the rear I suffered from none of the grip issues that I did there ( I'm a dickhead, but that's also another story..) and it was most excellent to see and spend some quality time with @Dodgy knees, @2xtwins , @singlesman and his son, and to meet @dern for the first time - I have to say, I think I’m enjoying trackdays more this year than I have for as long as I can remember, roll on Donington and catching up with more of the crew in a couple of weeks time
Worth a mention... talking to Trickys mate Tim, he's got an android app on his phone that requires a one off payment, about £20 I think, and shows lots of info including lap times, braking data, throttle data all done automatically. He's got it hidden away inside his fairing by headlight.
Bolloxed if i can remember it's name, but mighty impressive it was.
