I've seen one, I thought it looked like a Playmobil bike.
Motorbikes, Sportsbikes, Adventure bike, Supermotos, banter, chat, friends and whatever else you can imagine. KTM, Ducati, Aprilia, Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Laverda

Correct, though, the TIger is only 90bhp so not massively quicker, certainly no less comfortable and the advantage of a shaftie for a high miler is not to be underestimated. You're right though, I'd buy it for its individualityHarry wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2020 1:47 pmI think it might struggle to compete with your Tiger, but then as I said I don't know if it's trying to, it seems to be in a class of one.G.P wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:28 am I've considered it as an alternative commuting mule to my TIger 800 but since I've been WFH since Feb, its not really a requirement!
what's not to like about them air cooled, shaft drive, comfy, look great etc..
It's quirky enough to run on it's own and it's hard to compare it to much else.
It's the one that sold them you need to speak to!Harry wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:02 amThere is loads of stuff now on YouTube from owners that have had them for a year and they really rate them.Yorick wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 8:16 pm Anyone had one of these or know anything about them ?
A good pal of mine is thinking about buying one
But test rides aren't available here, so he's looking for some first hand knowledge.

You're wrong.Taipan wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 7:50 pm Hate that colour scheme, but I liek it in solid colours. Wouldn't mind owning a MG at some point as i'm intrigued by the engine, but if i was to buy that style bike tomorrow I think i'd prefer the RE Himalaya.
I'm with Julian on this!KungFooBob wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 8:04 pmYou're wrong.Taipan wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 7:50 pm Hate that colour scheme, but I liek it in solid colours. The single colour ones look rubbish in the flesh, the red/white/yellow one is amazeballs.

I find it, well, challenging, beyond all comprehension. I'm actually struggling to think of any features i like about it.Harry wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 4:39 amI think that's one of the best looking bikes out there at the moment.
Quirky, fun, interesting, and the colour scheme looks ace.
Reminds me a bit of my BW50 when I was a spotty youth.
I like that, but it's a lot "so ugly it looks good"G.P wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 11:02 am For those wondering why the fisher price paint scheme, its a take on the 1985 PAris Dakar V65 Guzzi:

Absolutely, that's what's great about motorbikes/motorbikers, the differences.Harry wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:02 amI think your brain is wired very differently to mine.weeksy wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 7:29 am

I prefer the softer lines of that MG to the harsh and angular shapes of a KTM. I ride a steel alloy framed MTB by choice, whilst I bet you're happy riding an aluminium framed MTB.
Different folks..
You don't have to keep up with my 12 year old in the woods/rootsHarry wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 11:42 amI used to be like that, but then I got old and now I'll take the slower bike over the fast one as long as I feel good whilst riding it.weeksy wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 11:23 am
I don't care what my MTB is made of, it's all about it's ability to go downhill that counts, it could be the ugliest bike on the planet but if it descends well, i'll take it.
Plain Red or Grey look nice.
Sounds similar to the stats for the Rockster (ish) - plenty of real-world 'power' there.G.P wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:57 pm My only problem with it is whether its got enough real world power.
roll-on acceleration whilst 2 up or loaded should be easy. I'm not sure that pushing 235kgs (when full of fuel) with 80bhp would be that relaxed at higher speeds.
Might have to try one.
