Not 4g related but I’ve run mesh for the last 2-3 years here. BT Wholehome to start with then Vodafone kit as they supplied it free with the last fibre upgrade.
Been almost faultless although BT kit needed a full reset after an automatic software upgrade which borked a couple of repeaters.
Kit is probably kicking around the house if you’d be interested in making an offer. Four interlinked disks.

You can get an unlimited data sim from Three for about £15 a month

Unlimited data, and the speed check thingy gives 70mbps download and 30 upload, probably depends mainly on how many users or how much traffic the local cell tower is servicing at any one time, but I stream live HD video with no issues, run the sky box off it, integrates with my Philips hue lighting, smart heating, Alexa stuff etc without apparent issues.
