Depending on what bike I have I hope to maybe do an evening session or 2 at Snetterton if they still do evenings?

No Limits do evening track days at Snetterton, be warned the sun can be low and be in your eyes as you approach the 3rd gear right hander before the corner that leads onto the back straight.

Anyone do Combe? I've done one day there but it rained all day so didn't really get a feel of it. Have done several car days there that helped. I found there format of 10 minute sessions wasn't enough to get any kind of flow going not being familiar with it on a bike. They also mix abilities in a group which was new to me.

10 minute sessions would be a waste of time, you're not going to do enough fast laps to learn the track.

Yeah i don't really get either aspect of that in honesty, 10 mins if you're not on warmers you'll just about get some heat in them and then be called in.

I think CC is more of a "come and see if you'd like trackdays" which i assume is 99% down to noise.

Cadwell will bite yer bollocks off

On a high power sports bike I can see why Snetterton would be fun, not so much on a big nekkid bike with fairly high bars getting passed left right and centre by high power sports bikes

Not sure that's a massive issue in your group mate. Especially considering you have 150bhp or so.

There's some nice constant radius bends.

And the Bombhole is a brave corner

Lol, i was planning to move to Inters midday at Pembrey but as half of the participants were NGRRC i stayed where i was as even in Novice half the group were on track bikes with full wets and spare track tyres. I felt as though i had improved and wanted to see where i was with the RTTL regulars so thats next on the agenda

That looks like the Bumhole, you're on a bit of a tight line.

Snetterton is fun on any bike, I've ridden a tired TZR250 that would barely scrape 100mph there and it was fun, there are more corners than there used to be, there's no scary bits, no slippery bits and longish straights, loads of run off if you are the twat that gets the session stopped, so you're unlikely to get hurt.

And the facilities are a lot better than they were 30 years ago.

The track drops about a foot through it. I never quite managed to hold it flat through there.
The BSB guys do.

I don't think the dip in the middle is as deep as it used to be, or it could be that modern bikes cope with it better than flexy framed LCs. I don't think I've ever accelerated round it with the throttle to the stop on any bike over 250cc

It's bloody deep at the speed a litre bike hits it
