It must be an organiser's nightmare to level the playing field with diverse machinery.

If you ignore the GSXR750, which I didn't think was still being made.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:07 pm See Ducati have managed to take the piss again...litre bikes going up against Jap 600s

Re: World Super Sports
I think Suzuki still sell the GSXR750 in some regions, which is why they've allowed it, but it's not had any development for at least a decade.
I think it's a piss take that they're letting the Street Triple enter with a bodged on fairing, They should make a faired one to homologate it!

Re: World Super Sports
That would amuse me....re-faired version of a naked derived from a sportsbike.
Well. I don't doubt for a second that Triumph always planned to make a Street Triple when they originally launched the Daytona 675, but still.

Re: World Super Sports
It's the new Street Triple tho', the 765.
The old Gaytony is only a 675.
They never made a faired 765.

Re: World Super Sports
You'd think that they could easily knock up 250 (or whatever) 765 Daytona's and sell them for a premium just to homologate it.
