Things I'd like to see.

Not massively but the software works and very well.
Permission only sections, non-public areas, subscribe options, etc.
It’s been around a long time yet has had none of the issues that other platforms have and let’s not even begin to mention a certain non petrol powered two wheeled forum.....

But the thing you have to understand is, this software is not the same. I can't magically make everything happen. IT's either written into the coding or not, as we've seen, sometimes it's written later and i implement it...

As i've said, have a look with the phpBB forum and find what you want and i'll probably implement it, but searching for 'swipe back thing that pitta likes' doesn't bring me up a lot...

I wasn't aware this forum has 'issues' ? Even though it doesn't necessarily do exactly what you want when you want, it seems stable, is advert free and clean and tidy i though ?

I can put loads of non-public areas in if people want that, but why would i ? I have implemented subscription options, again, what's wrong with them ?

I'm more than happy with the forum and how it's running. But it does seem you'd prefer something completely different, but i'm afraid, you've got what you've got, good or bad, it's not changing any time soon.

I know this is a different software platform.
You asked “what I’d like to see”, so we’ve answered.
If it’s not there then that’s it. It’s not a criticism.
Just commenting on how certain things make things easier/simpler/faster to use.

It shows new posts from all forums. I'd prefer it if we could subscribe or unsubscribe forums as we choose.
It's not too bad now, but once TRC closes, it will be annoying.

Have you tried using 'subscribe to forum' and testing on a few things? I can't as I'm clearly subscribed to all.

I did back in the early days and it didn't work as expected, now I can't see the option.

Yeah, found it, subscribed to those I'm interested in, I'll have a play and see if I can get it to display as I want

Keep us posted either way please. If it's not right, then i'll try and find what people want, but it's a hard thing to search and find.

OK, so it works, 'sort of'
Subscribe to the forums of interest and set http://revtothelimit.co.uk/ucp.php?i=uc ... subscribed as your bookmark and you see all those forums you are subscribed to only.

Where is doesn't work is that this forum does not appear to have a thread subscription function (that I can see(OK, found a manual subscribe to thread button, will see how that behaves)), only a watch setting.
In the old place you were automatically subscribed to threads you posted in and these displayed in your usercp page along with subscribed forums.

It's not better or worse, it's just different and will take some getting used to.
