Cracking little bike . I imagine being perfect for many, including the tracer version.
The tracer version is rubbish, it just isn't as much fun or anywhere near as lively. No idea what they have done to the tracer but having ridden one you'd say it has 20hp less and the weight of the moon on the front end. It wouldn't even clutch up nicely in 2nd whereas the MT can be picked up in 3rd

A friend out here has one of those (not the same colours!). She loves it - when we get to go riding next year, I am hoping to get a go - I'm sure she won't mind a swap for some time on an old Monster!!
Be very wary.
That way lies madness (or at the very least dissatisfaction with your own bike once you get back on it)
LOL Nah! I bought the Monster for a reason - to race in a certain class. Ok, it's gonna be my learn-to-ride-again bike too, but I will always be happy with it (once I've learnt to ride again). But I never mind trying others and maybe adding to the long Iwant list!! LOL

New S22 tyres and k tech shock fitted this morning. Set shock with a few mm more ride height and set damping. Then took on a 200 mile ride to seaside for chips

Tyres are an improvement and the handling is now superb, it was good but it’s now perfect for a road bike. Can’t fault anything yet. Exhaust is still too loud but I’ll get that sorted. Wasn’t gonna go so far but was loving every minute of it

Very nice. Not sure how I feel about the fluro colour scheme.
Now that you have sorted the rear suspension, how does it match up with the standard forks?
Does the exhaust have the baffle in? The Akras sound great on these, but I reckon a bit too much for anything more than a quick blast.

Or he's too busy at work to advertise it?
I really like the MT range, cracking looking bikes.

I was looking over the MT09SP at the dealer last week and nothing really jumped out at me on the shape of it... i am thinking of waiting for the newer XSR900 with full electronics, assuming they make it.

Forks are pretty good tbh, won't be doing much to them until I've tried it on track

Well we had a 790 fest at one stage with 3 of them at Pembrey one day. 4 owned at the same time though, maybe 5 if Joe19 got his at same time.
I'm sure we won't be beating that with mt07s though

Wasn't there a 390 'love in' at one point as well? ? You've got me looking at the mt07, not a bad price new, maybe go half's with my lad, he's got an A2 licence, so could have a 'cough' restrictor fitted!!
