I’ve already ridden an Ariel 3, so that doesn’t really leave much.

Re: What bikes would you never ride?
I have been on a Harley once. Many moons ago a pal was given an 883 or summat to race and he had to run it in.
So off we went 2 up, pegs down everywhere. On one roundabout we both had left hands on the ground.
The stupidity of yoof

Reminded me that my mate was offered to ride the VR1000 Harley racer that they built in the early 1990's. He agreed like a shot, before hearing it had
very poor handling, and had been crashed on almost every outing it had. He was so releived when it was totally destroyed in a race a couple of weeks before he was to race it.

I don't think there's a style of bike I haven't ridden, and they've all been fun, and I only ride bikes for fun, so I don't think there's a bike I wouldn't ride, loads I wouldn't buy.

This could morph into a shit bikes you've owned, that weren't actually that shit.
I had an MuZ 301 NE Saxon Tour. it wasn't as bad as you'd expect.

Not a CZ175... trust me on that.

My MZ TS125 was not enjoyable to ride, perhaps because it appeared to be a reduced-capacity 150.
My Vespa 100 was surprisingly enjoyable to ride.

I'd really like to try an XR1200 Hardly.
I parked my 500 Bullet next to one once and thought it looked cool as fuck. The Harley wasn't bad either.

Re: What bikes would you never ride?
I rode a Harley, it was a Night Train or something, it was over 20 years ago and I'd just jumped off an R6.
My lasting memory was the throttle didn't make it faster, just louder.
I'm a little more mature now and think I'd have a totally different experience.

Re: What bikes would you never ride?
The main issue for many bikes/makes/types is image innit? People think you can't have a Hardly unless you either wear a cut or are a bank manager. Sports bike must be 1-piece leathers with hump, GS riders of course must be wearing Rukka (and smell of wee).
None of which is true of course but I've not seen a Hardly rider in a 1-piece or a GS rider in a cut (or chaps ).

Re: What bikes would you never ride?
I guess technically cagiva moto's and 125 MX bike are sub 125, but I kinda meant anything classed as less than 125 IYSWIM

I've got a 110cc Peugeot Vox that I take away in the motorhome.
You'd be surprised how much beer and wine you can carry between a Carrefour and a campsite on it.

I promise I wouldn't!! Only because I once went to Le Mans with friends and was amazed at how much beer, wine, food (including baguettes!) they could get on a ZZR600!!KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 7:55 am I've got a 110cc Peugeot Vox that I take away in the motorhome.

Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!
