Terrifying! Hope the forecast rain holds off on Sunday.

I guess I will watch bits of bit - but still worry that it is a mandate for someone to die !

Can't see it.... it's actually really hard to die crashing a MTB.... But if you see at the end, Bernard Kerr stacks it on a massive one, but the jumps are designed so you can land, miss and still be fine. Not all of course and not impossible to hurt yourself, but it's far from likely too.

Ah, if that’s the case, I will give them a go!weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2022 11:05 amCan't see it.... it's actually really hard to die crashing a MTB.... Wow, just wow.
Insane speed down monster jumps and techy bits. So impressed to see Gee not just riding but giving it large after massive injuries, proper hard man.

It's just ace watching and thinking how funny it would be to even stand there, let alone consider it

Just finished watching it - shame that Kerr went down. Congrats to Jackson.

It's the first drop out of the woods on to the off-camper rock slab that had me grimmacing. Had to remind myself to breathe.
Gutted for Kerr and Brayton but, as you say, congrats to Jackson.
Love Rob Warner's commentary, such enthusiasm. Thought he paired really well with Rachel Atherton.

I genuinely would not have watched it live if it had been raining.Beancounter wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 10:01 am...the first drop out of the woods on to the off-camper rock slab....
