Oh - that's a feature I wasn't aware of, but makes a lot of sense.Skub wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 3:18 pmThat'll be his ABS,more than likely. Nor me,until it happened to me in the car. Until my slow brain joined the dots I thought I had somehow accidentally hit the hazard lights. The Spin Doctor wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:00 pmOh - that's a feature I wasn't aware of, but makes a lot of sense.Skub wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 3:18 pmThat'll be his ABS,more than likely. Anyway, noted for the future, should I be behind a car when the hazards join the brake lights,I'd best deploy my own retardation system fairly promptly.

Predictable?
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/plane- ... 022-01-10/
Police in Los Angeles, California, pulled the pilot from a crash-landed Cessna seconds before the aircraft was hit by a train on Sunday, sending debris flying in all directions.

Going back to the second video, what everyone seems to have missed is that the lesson surely is that:
the safest place for a motorcycle is tailgating a large vehicle, thus avoiding oncoming rogue caravans...

Three of us heading back from the BMF one Sunday evening, matey in front, his gf second, me at the back (no, not struggling to keep up, thank you very much).
Caravan ahead, he closes up behind, really close. I knew what and why, but didn't agree that it was wise. Also didn't think he'd take kindly to constructive criticism.
We stopped at a Little Thief for coffee. Chat chat chat ... "Hey, Steve, bit close behind that caravan weren't you?" and lean back as his gf joined in "Yes, i thought it was really dangerous!" Seconds away, round one.
