Can you get decent forks without lockout?

Anyway, Haibike support, mine hasn't gone wrong in 10 months/900 miles, UK support is done by Raleigh, they weren't massively interested when I contacted them about warranty registration.

I believe you live near Colchester, I don't know what dealers are in Colchester, but there are Haibike dealers in Felixstowe and near Halesworth in Suffolk. My mate bought his Cube from Thomas Cycle Centre in Ipswich and he's happy with them, though it did take a couple of months for a replacement charger socket to come.

Shit forks have a lock out and have writing on it which says lockout because people think it's important whereas the pukka stuff which costs a grand or so usually just has a compression damper, which if turned fully will slow the forks down a lot. No one bothers adjusting it because you will forget where it was for the fun stuff. Rear shocks have a 'platform' setting but no one uses it because you forget to switch it off again when you get to the fun stuff and suffer massively overdamped rear shock. Proper rear suspension makes platform setting unnecessary. If its bouncing around just because you are pedalling on smooth stuff its because its shit suspension, or its set up wrong

I think Cycle Revolution is the same as Thomas's, they seem alright, if a bit expensive, there's also a big cycle shop next to Tesco at Martlesham.

I’ve had bosch bikes for 4 years with no issues so it’s my go to now. My specialized lasted 6 weeks and 2 motors before being rejected
I wouldn’t have a HT ebike as at speed they hurt my back and knees and ebikes always have speed. There’s no reason really for a HT.

Don’t worry about Haibike, they seem to be very durable (apart from the flyon motors). Good German engineering.

I’ve had mine for over 2 yrs now, i’m on the larger side of things and it’s aken absolutely everything in it’s stride.
