Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I'm due my 2nd AZ in a couple of weeks - no problems after the first, apart from I've had a jab sore arm-itis.
I have heard of others who have had more problems recently tho - mostly the ladies - really unwell for a few days, and not just the usually woosy ones.

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I've had two doses of the Chinese vaccine. Supposedly.
No side effects at all, little bit of discomfort where the needle went in - for about half an hour.
I think if you get side effects it means they've certainly stuck something other than water in your body. Does not getting any side effects mean I got a placebo?
Who knows.

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I had the first of the Pfizer jabs on Friday afternoon. I know I wasn't drinking enough water that day as was in the valley do stuff from 10:30 and the jab was at 14:40. Then I had a couple of meetings and a physio appointment. I was sooooo tired Friday evening. Pretty tired Saturday then had a headache most of last night and this morning. Finally gave in and took pain meds this morning as I don't get headaches normally so it's not something I 'deal' with well!!
In general I feel better today - and the headache is going now (from the meds I guess!).
Weirdly, one of the main reasons I thought I had covid this time last year was because I had this sort of headache (and the feeling wiped out, loss of taste/smell etc).
But as people say - you are getting a bit of the virus in the vaccine. I'll take feeling shit for a few days if the vaccine works!!

I did feel better when I started drinking more water (as normal!) - definitely better today with the pain meds (paracetamol and Acupan!!!)Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:59 am Not sure if it's a thing, but plenty of water and paracetamol before you go for jab seems to help some. Can't do any harm.

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I encountered that yesterday. There's an old acquaintance of mine who firmly believes it's all a capitalist plot.He becomes infuriated to see anyone taking precautions, such as mask wearing or social distancing, then feels compelled to challenge people going about their business.
I moved off the pavement to let him and his wife past and that was the trigger. He stood in the middle of the street bellowing (he has a very loud voice) about 'subscribers and sheep' and how this whole thing is a fucking load of balls. I could still hear him ranting 100 yards away.
Perhaps not the most stable of individuals in the first place, but he's an example of how lockdown has exacerbated mental issues in some folk. I felt sorry for his wife, because they can't even go to the shops without massive shouting scenes.

I had the first AZ on Friday afternoon (same time roughly as LFG). I took two ibuprofen an hour before with a pint of water and felt fine. About 24 hours later I got a headache, took two ibuprofen and felt fine. I have felt fine since.

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I had AZ vaccine last Thursday morning, fine till 9 at night then had all the same symptoms I had during covid and got 2 hours sleep. By late Friday morning was fine. By the Monday though felt like I’d got a hangover. But tbh the Thursday night was horrible. Least I’m now invincible

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I had AZ. No symptoms at all for 27 hours then feeling of bruised arm and odd joint pain. That was just before bed so i took two paracetamol to ensure I slept. Woke up and all symptoms had gone.
My wife still has a sore arm after nearly three weeks. She had chronic tiredness and just slept 20hours a day for four days.

I had the AZ vaccine and was beginning to feel a bit left out because I had no adverse reaction at all. Now I know why.

I wouldn't have known that unless you posted it - thanks for the warningYorick wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 9:55 am Just seen some extra special shite from the usual twats on FB.
They reckon the jab causes poison to be released along the hairs which can kill other people.
I suppose that will only happen if you chew their head.
But folk love this shite and can't wait to to spread it to other idots.

AZ, sore arm at injection site for 4 days and felt a bit washed out for a few days.

Re: Covid Vaccine Side Effects
I had AZ on Friday afternoon. Felt fine the next day until about 10pm when my arm got really sore like I had been punched or kicked and had slightly swollen lymph nodes. Sore arm this morning but actually feel really good so went for an 8 mile walk today.
