Surprised they don't come with heated grips standard.
That was the one thing that was missing. Really wanted the yamaha ones but too salty. Especially after buying the akra...

Its funny how small jobs expand to fill the time available and then a bit more.
The bike came fitted with some rather lovely genuine yamaha LED indicators which also include running lights front and rear and brake lights.
But who ever installed them did a shit job. They didn't leave enough slack so the wires look strained and very visible. So I spent an hour adding connectors and extending the cables by a few inches to tidy it up.
Then I fitted the new number plate to a tidier tail tidy.

Akra arrived and installed.
Its a nicer fit than the BW or even the carbon akra. Its louder than I had been lead to believe, even with the full baffle in, so thats how I'll run it.
Anyone wanna buy a black widow, vgc?

I now realise why its loader than I expected - the akra I mean.
Previous owner had drilled holes in the baffle. Not mentioned at all in ebay listing. Should I demand a refund?

Does make you wonder why you'd drill holes in it! Surely if you want loud you just remove the baffle?
Can you get a new baffle?

Yes you can get a new baffle - for £50.
Its way too loud with no baffle at all.

I'd explain and ask for £50 then mate, send him the shit baffle to sell on.
Then fit it, think "oh that's too quiet'' and drill your new one

I might give it a go. I mean, I paid top dollar for the pipe, as you know, so I should expect it to be intact and complete. Or at least fully informed about any modifications. Right, I'm off to draft a firm email.

You did and didn't. You paid about right though yes. I've seen some go for 6's, but i've seen a few high 4's in the last year... so you paid a decent price.
But yeah see how you go, but i wouldn't be too upset

Update: the seller offered a refund/return but now I've had chance to test it a bit, I decided to keep the akra with the modified baffle. I can always get a new one if it drones on too much.

I've done some short rides around my local roads - about 2 tanks of fuel. The roads have been dry, dusty with salt, but dry - enough to throw it about and get a feel for the handling. On B roads and back roads its an exciting ride - the front comes up on every little crest and bump which I am more than happy with, although I think if you go for deliberate wheelies in second it needs some care. Third is safer. I need to check that some fool hasn't shortened the gearing...

Ok so I checked the gearing - its standard. Its exactly how Yamaha intended it.
