I had aftermarket heated grips back in my day.

They always seemed a bit thicker and nastier build than OE grips. Also the wiring always looked gash.

The genuine BMW ones were nice and I think the Honda ones might have been too from memory.

Honda ones are nice, but the switch is not. Too small, click on for full, again for 2/3, again for 1/3 and again for off. Minute LEDS to show which setting it's on. Finicky, and not at all suited for a left thumb in a glove.

Dont know quite how i missed this but i whacked a pair of Oxford grips on the 600 Fazer a few months ago for winter use. The heat is excellent, the auto cut out works as i deliberately left it on to see and the adjustment is easy. The fitting is fairly simple as even a ham fisted muppet like me managed it. Made a huge difference to my winter riding comfort and bak to wearing summer gloves with the grips

I had to trim a couple of mm off the grip end on throttle side so i could fit the bar ends back on again as with full size they stuck the throttle on which was interesting. They are slightly bigger than standard grips but i managed to save those without cutting them off should i decide to get rid of the bike and remove the grips for a subsequent one. The Ducati comes with heated grips as a fitted optional extra and they are much slimmer and same as standard fit .....but 5 times the price to replace should they fail

Didnt have a lot of room to work with as it was pissing down outside

I dunno why I didn't buy heated grips years ago,I mean I used to ride all year round without them and now I don't,I buy heated grips.

Mind you there are plenty of days during the other 3 seasons when they are welcome.

They are my fav thing atm.

Another fan of heated vests here. When your core cools it starts to shut down blood flow to your extremities (and our brains), making your hands cold. Keep the core warm, keep the blood flowing and keep the rest of you warm.

A heated jacket was one of the few ‘why didn’t I do this earlier’ moments for me.

I ride all-year round. Heated grips and a big ol' muff are my weapon of choice, which allows for thin Gore-tex gloves. Cold is never an issue, though nobody looks cools with Oxford muffs on their bike, end of.

Due to mostly working from home, I didn't bother with the muffs this winter, and felt the cold on the days I did go in. Having recently purchased some Held gloves, with the fancy paraffin molecule lining, I have to say the difference is very noticeable. Really warm.

Heated grips a big Yes - especially if u prefer to ride with summer gloves all year. Heated Fleece as well - both can get too hot !
