Good fun, with a semi arthouse feel, Mrs GP wanted to watch it, I was reluctant, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

I like that too when I saw it (a few years ago).

The scene when he's cooking outside, in the rain, under the Heathrow flight path made me laff out loud.

Just watched The Best Of Enemies. Hmmm. Best film I ever seen.

It's hard to imagine that in USA 1971, the KKK and the N word were acceptable and normal. I was 11 in Bradford and I'm still shocked.

About half way through, I got a bit of dust in my eye, and the wind blew again about 3/4 of the way.

It was bad enough before, but ever since that insufferable idiot Matthew McCaughey did those inane commercials for Lincoln I've been unable to watch anything he appears in... including a movie we both appeared in... altho he had a slightly bigger role.

I watched The Mauritanian last night. Very good and yes, quite shocking too. I'd never heard of the lead character or Mauritania come to that. Right, that's me, back under my rock for a cuppa...

Just FYI, Arrival is back on Netflix. Great sci-fi film.

The new Papillon movie.
I really didn't want to like this one cos the original movie is one of my favourites but its a good film.


Didn't cover much new ground and is a bit like seeing a play done by different actors.
You know the story and its a bit different but you basically just like the story.

For me at least it was well worth a watch.

I watched Erin Brockovich on Netflix the other night. Old film 2000 and very good, but the reason i mention it, is because of the absolutely gorgeous role played by Julia Roberts at her sexiest best.

If there's nowt on, deffo worth another watch, male's will not be disappointed.

An old one... HENRY V. the originsal one with Sir KLarry Olivier!! I've loved since akid but haven't seen it for years. Thge charge answered by the longbows alwys sends a thrill down my spine!1 Awesome, and the script ain't bad eiother , thanks to some Shakespeare chappie??

After the lacklustre Spectre, Daniel Craig returnes in his second best outing as Bond. Cracking action, gorgeously filmed locations and lovely ladies all feature in Craig's final outing.

This weekend I watched all four of the Rebuild of Evangelion movies (on Amazon Prime).

Not everyones cup of tea, it's probably 15 years since I watched all the original Anime (I have the boxset on DVD), but the ending is so much more satisfying (and a teeny bit less confusing) than the original series.

Watched Wilde - despite my reluctance it was actually a good watch.....

As soon as the new 007 stepped into the scene, I kinda knew how it would play out, but still worth a watch. Way better than I thought it would be.

I watched Spotlight - about Boston Globe inquiry in the RC church - difficult subject but a really well made film.

I think reception to it has been mixed, and as someone who thinks Casino Royal is the best Bond film and they've gone steadily downhill to Spectre as the worst, I wasn't that bothered about seeing NTTD but thought I'd give it a go when it hit Amazon (which I thought would be Christmas). I didn't hold out much hope, particularly as it's 2 hours and 40 minutes, but I did enjoy it and I don't think it dragged at all. If I had one complaint it would be the villain isn't much cop.

I was confused by the whole villain thing. Malek hammed it up too much and Christoph Waltz was been and gone in 10 minutes. Waste of his talent.
