This discussion has echoes of others where, IIRC, the question was posed "What did they [whether protesters, people being arrested, or ex-girlfriend of a ne'r do well] think was going to happen?"

This event was in the USA, where 35,000 people die from shooting every year, of which about 1,000 are shot by police or various 'agencies'.

They had forced past police into the building and were trying to breach a barricaded door. So, what did ... ?

No.

We've had this dance before though.

The USofA is full of guns, some of them are going to end up in the hands of frightened people who shoot first and ask questions afterwards. I'm rather surprised more of the 'protesters' weren't shot.

The woman who died was ex-military, she should have had some clue what could happen if she took part in armed insurrection. Apparently she was also a conspiracy nutter, so...

Well yes, thats pretty much my attitude too.

If thousands of people storm the seat of US government it is pretty much guaranteed someone is gonna get shot isn't it?

Indeed - but seeing how the guy was prosecuted for walking about his own property with a gun, to prevent rioters breaking into his house, vs shooting someone the other side of a barricaded set of doors.

Imho - tough shit she got shot, but had she have been black and the shooter white, let’s not pretend the world would not be rioting today.

George Floyd wasn’t out collecting for cancer charidees when he was killed by an official - his death, while wrong, was also the result of breaking the law.

Hard to believe such a ceremony would be so poorly policed.

In any large group of people, there are bound to be a fair few nutters, losers, idiots etc. but worse still, it did appear to be totally disorganised. So after surprising themselves that they were so easily able to barge their way in, it's chaos. Nobody really had any sort of plan.

There were plenty of videos of this where the "rampaging mob" could have been mistaken for a coach tour visiting a museum. The videos have been deleted of course because most of the "violent mob" seemed to show was a line of police officers/security firing tear gas and beating the shit out of the crowd. As they should of course since none of them should have been there.

The worst part is a shot of a young officer being slowly crushed to death.

Crazy. and horrible.

Anyhow, now America has become a one party state, the fun begins. Censor anyone to the right of chairman Mao, change all the laws and voting rules to suit the Dems, fire anyone who ever supported Trump etc. Soon become a Marxist/communist regime, run by big tech.

Biden will keel over in no time, Harris will defer to Pelosi to become the next president. That was always the plan I think. Won't last too long tho, at least half the country really are right of centre and the election really was rigged. This coup cannot persist. There will be a civil war which China will win.

I love the way you can so credulous about American politics, but so incredulous about the sources of Coronavirus.

I have no interest in discussing either topic BTW, I'm just amused a bit by the dichotomy.

Some gal who is a psyops Army specialist was there, told her superiors she was going, told them when she got back & is now being targeted for treason charges & court martial by the left because she chartered a couple of buses to take around 100 people to DC. They were actually back on the buses & headed away from DC when the SHTF & had no part of the mob at the Capitol building.
She wasn't in uniform, didn't mention she was military to anyone etc, but is being called an organizer & instigator because of her MOS.
Apparently chartering buses is now treason & an act of insurrection.

DC Mayor has now ordered DC cops to shut down the city from today until the 24th.

Sorry but while I agree with the sentiment, that was a large mob who broke into a state building. They get what they deserve, even if I support their objective and the cause they were protesting.

I wouldn't fight a war then complain about getting shot.

Oh, right. :D
She's being accused of organizing & instigating the mob to attack the Capitol building. She wasn't even there at that point & had nothing to do with them. People on FB are actually calling for her death by hanging or firing squad.
