Yeah but I need the 180 to compensate for my modest genitalia ;)

So I managed to take it out for a spin this arvo - roads were iffy but still had a blast!

Notes:
1. I chuffin love the heated grips that came fitted - yamaha ones. Toasty.
2. The akra is music with the baffle in. I see no need to remove it either.
3. The sweet spot for wheelies is earlier in the rev range than I'm used to. I'm wondering if the akra is causing a flat spot...
4. Its dead comfy. I soon got used to the narrow bars so might leave them for a bit. Probably just felt narrow after the scrambler.
5. Realistic top speed is slightly north of 120mph, er, I imagine.
6. Couldn't fault the suspension although I was hardly on the edge. Its the 2018 improved version which might help.
7. I really enjoyed it - could've stayed out all day!

Just to update this thread.

I took the MT07 out last week when the first signs of spring appeared. Its a thoroughly pleasant bike but its just a bit too novice-y (is that nearly a word?) It lacks 'edge'. Its too friendly.
Also some details were annoying me like having to remove fiddly panels to expose swingarm pivots to use my abba stand.
Anyway I stuck it on ebay at the weekend and its gone!

I didn't waste much time in regret, and I've put down a deposit on the next flavour of the month. Stand by for new bike thread.

Delivery of my next obsession is due on saturday and weather looks promising. I'm not superstitious or anything but I'm not posting about it until its landed. Suffice to say that I have spent more money than I intended but I reckon it will be worth it. And I haven't been this excited about a bike in ages.

I think I've talked my mate into getting a Tracer 700 for his Mrs, she's been banging on about a 790 Adv for ages but we both think A) they are too expensive for occasional use and B) appear to be reliability challenged. She then looked at 390s (she's KTM bonkers) but I mentioned Tracer 700 and suddenly they'll pulled a load of money on the CC to buy!

I like bike shopping for other people!
