I'd love the 1050 but don't have the readies. I'm also going to walk away from the 955. Did an MOT check and all seems ok other than over the last few years it's only done a few hundred miles and at some point it had some sort of head on accident as the MOT recorded the yokes were dangerous and it shouldn't be on the road. That's enough but I also joined an owner's page on Facebook and this chap is kn there and he's been trying to start it since October with no luck and it appears to have been stored outside so the issues with the tank swelling will be compounded. Cheers for all the info and advice.

Just messaged the guy. He said he didn't know which I'll accept he probably didn't. So no triumph for me today. Not bothered as I'd rather have had the rs but never mind.

If I saw the yokes bit I would run away, let alone walk!! If it’s had that level of damage it would possibly have cracked the frame somewhere, not worth the risk, there’s others around.

I've owned both the sprint st 1050 and a 2014 viffer. The Sprint was a better touring bike with a fantastic engine. The vfr was built to an amazing standard. Spoilt by vtech and heavy for an 800. That said, both great bikes, but I would have another sprint rather than a vfr.
