I guess I mean basic fact checking and common sense.

Re: Bye bye BBC
A quick example of pathetic media bias....everyone here are well aware how the media delighted in slagging off (and lying) about Tommy Robinson.
During the BLM shite a couple of black men were verbally AND physically attacking a couple of white pensioners, husband and wife, in the street.
TR was driving by with his family and saw it, he got out and stopped them, he copped a few bruises...
EVERY newspaper I read that reported this incident stated that a "passer by" intervened!
Non of them could bring themselves to give TR any recognition for doing the decent thing....

Watching breakfast Beeb last week Naga started talking about the Moons atmosphere (in relation to the astronaut who snuck a club and balls up there). The moons atmosphere is so thin it’s considered a vacuum and is about as thick as the “air” the ISS orbits in.

Re: Bye bye BBC
Not just the BBC denying TR publicity then. Good. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, but this is a BBC thread, so lets not go down that path..OBO wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 4:03 pm A quick example of pathetic media bias....everyone here are well aware how the media delighted in slagging off (and lying) about Tommy Robinson.

I really hate the BBC, I think they lost the plot in terms of their political agenda replacing the reporting of news about 15 years ago. They now think they are the arbiter of what's important and what's not.
Also, I pay a licence fee and 15 mins out of every hour on radio or TV are adverts, the beeb advertising the beeb.
That said, iPlayer is a good resource.

I guess most of us aren't glued to the Tommy Robinson news service to be aware of these facts in the first placeOBO wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 4:03 pm A quick example of pathetic media bias....everyone here are well aware how the media delighted in slagging off (and lying) about Tommy Robinson.

Just to clarify, my post was TOTALLY on topic, I gave an example of bias by several news outlets...the BBC being one of them.

Re: Bye bye BBC
Adolf Hitler was very fond of dogs. The BBC may have reported this.
Tommy Robinson must have been really pleased to have an excuse to kick the shit out of two blacks.
I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire either. I might be tempted to spring for a litre of 4*

The word Vile is getting to be a bit overused on here, maybe look up alternatives?
Synonyms, differs, equivalent words, y'know.

Re: Bye bye BBC
I think the BBC news sucks as well, it is watered down and one sided. I used to be in agreement of the licence fee covering some niche topics that wouldn't otherwise get any air time but niche now seems to be their priority, I'm getting bored with it appeasing minority groups.
If it changed to a subscription service I'd probably pay but that depends on their priorities, the current management might continue to push their agendas until it is almost bankrupt.

Re: Bye bye BBC
The BBC has a legal requirement to be a Public Service Network provider so one assumes that this duty will have to continue and would be provided by free-to-air TV channels.
Anything more than that would apparently be worth £400 a year subscription charge.

Bring it on Tim.BBC is TWICE value of Netflix and would cost £400-a-year as a subscription service, Tim Davie claims
