Actually, I watched 'on the buses' a few weeks back and still pretty funny. There are bits that are a little close to the edge for the modern sensitive sorts, but good innocent comedy all the same.

I grew up hating (with a vengeance) Dad's Army as my Step Dad used to watch it and deny my sister and I watching what we wanted! I revisited it a few years ago when the original film came on and now i'm a fan, to say the least! I watch an incredible amount of old B&W films too.

Channel 4 show ancient repeats of Frasier most mornings, I tend to catch them at the weekend.

I used to hate it with a passion when it was 'new' back in the mid 90's and I was in my late teens, it was way too cringy.

Now I love it.

I used to like them all, sat on the sofa next to mum, dad had his own chair. I think some of them might not quite hit it these days, things have moved on, but a well written comedy is timeless.

I watched some episodes of the Fall Guy, Heather Thomas is fit but the program is shite.
I enjoyed the re runs of Chips that were on a few years ago
Watched some old Jon Pertwee Doctor Who at the weekend, it was pretty awful and hard to follow

Tom Baker was my Doctor.

I did most of Dr Who up until the fairly recent stuff in the last 12 months, i've still got a couple of series i think before it goes all completely politically correct and aliens do alien things

Watched BftBS a couple of years ago. Belly-wobbling comedy it ain't. More like social commentary with a wry/gallows humour topping. The acting is

I do like the old cops and robbers stuff from a few decades ago. Part of the reason is just nostalgia for the old cars etc. in the street scenes; but somehow I can stomach the violence and mayhem because it seems like pure fantasy whereas modern ones are just too realistic and nasty.

The Endeavour series is also entertaining because it presents baffling plot lines which tortuously resolve at the end.

Another attraction of the old stuff is the lack of political correctness which modern scriptwriters seem to feel obliged to build in. I don't mind the influence on plot lines but too often it crops up as unrealistic dialogue.

There are various old things that, under normal circumstances, I might have avoided but, having watched a couple, got quite caught up in them and watched the lot. Lovejoy is a good example. Pie in the Sky, Dad's Army (very well written, acted and, at times, rather deeper than expected - the one where Mannering's twin brother pitches up springs to mind*).

Strewth! I've even had Father Brown, Rosemary and Thyme and The Good Life on telly while I've been cooking!

Pride of place goes to the 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister' series though.

Edit: * As does the Private Godfrey's Military Medal episode. I still get a bit of grit in the eye thinking about it!

Porridge, Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister and various Star Trek series yeah sometimes.

Star Trek, Babylon 5, Father Brown.

Mrs M does Columbo, Murder She Wrote and Poirot.

Films, if Total Recall (Arnie version) come on , I know I'll be watching that to the finish.

It's about the only TV I watch. Modern telly does nothing for me. I'm addicted to Bullseye.

I never really liked Z-Cars but the very mention of it sends that horrible theme tune jangling around inside my head!
