I can't see me buying a bike made in China or Thailand unless they seriously up their quality, I'll be sticking with (expensive) bikes made in Japan, and I'm aware that some Hondas and Yamahas are made in Thailand, I'm including these in the bikes I wouldn't buy.

Looked at Honda's CB500s or the 750 NC range? Considered a Triumph Speed Triple or Tiger, or the Bonneville?

All made in Thailand.

My mistake. The NCs are made in Japan, it's the 500s that are made in Thailand. As are the 300s, various scooters and - to my surprise - the CBR650s. That's teach me to fact-check myself.

If they use the same spec materials and employee's are trained to the same levels it doesn't really matter where they're built. Trouble is, we ain't sure about that bit.
