Not cheap but quality.
And you're right, had to remember to unplug them before taking my lid off - but once I'd ripped them out of my ears a few times I didn't forget. I've left the OE speakers in the helmet ( Shoei J Cruise ) for short trips.
To be honest we're probably not using Packtalks to their fullest potential, a lot just use them as a intercom / telephone and that's it. Mines linked to my phone as well - for calls ( which are well spooky - when this missus ring u and asks where are u ? on the outside lane of the motorway dearest.. ) and paired for music. Lucky to have USB ports on the Harley so phone stays charged up. I think I've lost the radio as I read somewhere one of the Speaker leads acts as an radio aerial.
What is good tho - and it works if you're out of range and say miss a motorway junction - u can dial up one mobile '' emergency '' number automatically and then u can find out where everyone else is via the phone network. Very handy on German Autobahns...
