Argentina has been something of a disaster for Aprilia. They're already missing their #1 rider, Jorge Martin and Bez was anonymous in the Sprint race and crashed out of the main GP at the first corner. Raul Fernandez couldn't get to grips with the bike and only scored a solitary point after Ai Ogura was disqualified. And just to put the cherry on the cake, Savadori damaged himself trying to save the bike and withdrew from the GP.

And this was at a cicuit that Bez has won at, and at which the Aprilia was fancied to challenge strongly. Nightmare.

If they had a comparably quick motor to the rest of the grid Zarco would have been podium-bothering.

It's a track Zarco likes and goes well at,so although he has mostly been performing better than Marini and Mir,perhaps their race positions,or a little higher are where the Honda is at. No doubt about an improvement in their race to be second best to Ducati.

Moto3 great racing as ever,I fell asleep in Moto2,but I don't think I missed much. Good to see Dixon bag one and dominate.

It's all the Marquez brothers and Ducati show so far in the big class. I hope the other manufacturers can step up to give the occasional race. The manufacturer title race looks already settled.

Another MM show. Austin baring issues/crash for MM is likely to be the same. I think Pecco will pick things up but by then he could be 40 points + adrift after 3 rounds! I had a quick look and Pecco got an 8th (sprint) and 5th (GP) in Austin last year so it could be 50 points. If and its a big IF that's the case that's a whole stack of catch up to be doing.

I can't see MM gifting younger brother a win any time soon. That just isn't the way he rolls. His overtakes will be more judicious compared to anyone else but he'll still stick it up the inside for the win.

Manufacturer's title is all but sewn up for Ducati. I was really hoping that Priller could challenge, but that looks a bit of a forlorn hope. If Honda can find another 10kph top speed they might get in contention, but the best they can hope for would be the odd podium.

It's all looking a bit cut and dried at the moment...

Well done to Jake though. Once he got to the front there was no way he was going to be passed.

You can read a lot into that.

Just watched the highlights from Argentina on Quest. Wished I hadn't bothered.

Will this be the most predictable and boring Motogp season ever?

The only real racing was in Moto2 and Moto3 and even then Suzi gave the game away before the brief highlights of the Moto2 race.

Not impressed.

Outside of their dad, I don’t think anyone has done more than Marc Marquez to nurture Alex along through the years. Think back to Alex’s early days, when it took “more than one go” to win his championships. And does anyone remember his first, seriously-wobbly wobble round on the MotoGP Honda, alongside Marc, after winning the Moto2 championship? He's a "slow-burner" - and his family and (I believe) those kind-hearted sentimentalists at Ducati appreciate that, too.

I’m just looking in from the outside, I know - but I think those two have the deepest respect for each other, and if Marc says he expects Alex to win more than one race, I prefer to think that he’s expecting one or two two crashes for himself this year (aren’t we all!), and hoping that Alex will be the one most able to take full advantage if that happens. Much respect to them both.

I walked out and left the wife to it after 8 laps, don't know if it's because the racing is dull or I'm have a mardy at the new format of the race highlights show, but it couldn't hold my interest for any longer than that.

I still hate the timing tower on the left not showing the times during practice and qualifying.

Yeah it's a toughie. AM knows MM too well and he wants a proper win.
