For someone who states they don't care you sure do invest a whole heap of time and effort into complaint about it, what's the alternative that would work across all sports that would make you happy bearing in mind it needs to encourage close racing / results and be safe?
So anyway, what's the alternative to sporting regulations then?

I record the races & then view them on Ffwd until something actually happens that's worth a look. Rarely takes more than 10 minutes to watch the entire race.

Re: Formula 1.
Maybe frame the regulations and check compliance BEFORE the race? Probably need simpler regulations too, and that would be no bad thing.MrLongbeard wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 10:40 pmFair enough, I figured at your age you'd not want to waste any time no matter how little you argue it may be.Cousin Jack wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 10:38 pmTime and effort? 21 words, not too much effort, and even at my typing speed, not much time either.MrLongbeard wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:20 pm

Re: Formula 1.
They are checked before race, making them simpler wouldn't work as even BTCC which is just a ride hight check has failures post race and F1 is supposed to be the bleeding edge of technology and development.Cousin Jack wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 8:25 amMaybe frame the regulations and check compliance BEFORE the race? Just relying on compliance before a race would make it more interesting because who the hell is going to comply during the race if the car isn't going to be checked after, it'd be a free for all on everything.
And how does that translate into other sports, we don't care you didn't treat your horse humanly during the race or that you shot up on the starting line etc etc.

Re: Formula 1.
Most sports have the occasional after-the-event disqualification or penalty. F1 manages it almost every time.
Anyway, I am bored with this now, Bye.

The Redbull Grinder continues, Liam Lawson is the latest number 2 getting thrown under the demotion bus.

Re: Formula 1.
Somebody should be held accountable for this continuing clusterfuck. The wheels are seriously coming off the Red Bull bus, it's only Verstappen that is keeping a semblance of control and order at RB, much as it pains me to say it.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

How far up the grid will RB be next year when the Max is in Silver ?mangocrazy wrote: Wed Mar 26, 2025 2:25 pm Somebody should be held accountable for this continuing clusterfuck. Or Green? Max speaking out and disagreeing with RB's decision to bin Lawson is a big thing, there is a realistic possibility that he'll go somewhere else next year.Nobby wrote: Wed Mar 26, 2025 8:22 pmHow far up the grid will RB be next year when the Max is in Silver ?mangocrazy wrote: Wed Mar 26, 2025 2:25 pm Somebody should be held accountable for this continuing clusterfuck. RB's management and continuing lack of support for it's drivers, especially the youngsters has to fall directly on Horner and Marko's shoulders. It's pretty disgraceful how they treated. How Horner is still in a job is beyond me??
If MV does leave, I would expect a big change in the management there. Ford are partnering them next year, they must be looking in wondering what the hell they've done.

Re: Formula 1.
Recorded the race before Miami, sat down the watch it, dozed off within 2 or 3 laps & woke up just after it ended. Deleted it without watching the rest of the race.
Today (from Rainbow Sparkle):
"Why don't you take a tea break while you're at it?"
and:
"Want me to let him past as well?"
Ferrari seem hell bent on not winning any races.

Re: Formula 1.
They've also invested an enormous amount of money in facilities here in MK. They've basically taken over one end of the industrial estate they're on and turned it into a Red Bull campus. There's a gatehouse etc. now. Must've pissed off everyone else on that estate, 'cause now you have to go aaaalll the way around the long way and drive in from the other end if you're not Red BullNordboy wrote: Thu Mar 27, 2025 5:45 am If MV does leave, I would expect a big change in the management there. Pissed Mrs. D off too, she works next door and Red Bull bought up loads of the parking so no other company can use it.
Hope they haven't wasted all that cash
