Ooh I like a nice Skoda I do. Being a Superb owner, they are cracking nice cars. Had the Favourit, Fabia, Octavia and now Superb. Would look at a Kamiq as well. Enjoy in good health and safety!

A few years back I had a similar green blue colour on a Ford. It looks lush in sunlight.
Just remember to keep it shiny side up.

Tested all the heated stuff this morning as I'd parked it outside last night. Freaking awesome - by the time I'd scraped the side windows and mirrors (with the handy scraper thingy that lives inside the petrol cover thingy) the seat and steering wheel were hot and the screen had defrosted enough to clear with the wipers!!!
Of course, I remembered as I got in that the wing mirrors have heaters in too!!! Only had to scrape the side windows - will remember next time!!!

The only people who think heated steering wheels are a gimmick have never had a decent heated steering wheel (and don't live in the frozen wastes).
It's seriously limiting my next choice of car, I will not compromise!
(although I do have my eye on a Twin Motor Long Range Polestar 2 at the moment that has the same steering wheel as my Ovlov)

I even dont like heated seats. I am sure my V50 had them but never properly looked into how to use them. Had our Citroen DS for a good six month before noticing the A/C buttonKungFooBob wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:04 pm The only people who think heated steering wheels are a gimmick have never had a decent heated steering wheel (and don't live in the frozen wastes).

Re: NCD - well, new to me!!
Sorry, run that by me again. I presume the button was on the seat next to the three settings electric gubbings. The previous owner was the same height as me and never even had to adjust a mirror. Bought it to keep me working when my timing belt went in the van. Once that was fixed (Engine swap) the car was sold on.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:26 pmIt's pretty complex. I’ve never really thought about a heated steering wheel. I never really suffered that bad from cold (even in my extreme frozen wastelands!!) but it was just never a thing - mostly cos I never expected to look for a car that might have fancy stuff!!KungFooBob wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:04 pm The only people who think heated steering wheels are a gimmick have never had a decent heated steering wheel (and don't live in the frozen wastes).

Now I’ve experienced it, as you say, not going back to a ‘normal/cold’ one again!!
OMG!! I’ve always LOVED heated seats!! Was always a treat getting in friends cars if they had the hot seatsFelix wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:15 pm

I don’t really understand AC vs heating TBH. I should probably work that out - for the Sprinters if not my car!!
Actually. I did finally find a little annoyance in my lovely Kamiq - to adjust the heating, well the blowers, not the temp! You have to go into the screen and use a slider thing to change the amount of air
Probably not as bad for normal people, although I hate that so much (in some cars) is via a screen - I just don’t see that it’s safe. Certainly less safe than a dial you can reach/feel for as opposed to having to look at the screen, push buttons to get the right screen, then find the right slidey thing
For me, being somewhat spazzy, most days I can’t reach the screen with my right hand, so if I want to adjust the blower I have to lean over and use my left hand
Luckily, with all the heated stuff at the touch/reach of a button, I haven’t needed to use the blowers particularly

Re: NCD - well, new to me!!
Noooo, no just no. I hate a hot undercarriage. Not that i have an issue with wiping and have a dirty arse i just like to be cool. So does the wife but i always just presumed for a different reason to me. The only extra i would like in a car is instant screen clearing. Had a few cars over the years with a heated screen and TBH Hawing on the screen would have had a better effect. Saying that they were mostly Fords.

It's freaky enough that the drivers seat in coach vibrates if you get too close to a white line
