Twelve large for a 600? I remember when KJM were doing new ZX-6Rs for £3999 on the road.

Does nothing for me as most sportsbikes all look alike to me, but I look forward to seeing a naked version! Not surprised to see a resurgance of this class though, most litre bikes are too much for public roads.

CBR650R territory then, another not exactly common bike, and which would you spend your money on Honda reliability or Aprillia, what exactly are Aprillia offering that Honda don't?

So many answers to that, but few that would make sense to many.

They're a basis on a theme but that's about it.

It's like asking why you'd buy an Alfa over a Mondeo... Aprilia do finishing touches that Japanese companies don't do, little brackets, little fastenings, just overall quality. Honda, well, they're perfect, but don't bring any passion or feeling

"It's like asking why you'd buy an Alfa over a Mondeo"

I'd buy a Mondeo every time, I'd actually buy a Honda, Toyota, Subaru or Mitsubishi before I'd buy any European car, Japanese cars are just better made, even the Hondas and Toyotas made in Britain, but I wouldn't buy a European assembled Nissan, they're a bit shit.
Maybe I'm lacking in passion, but my experience of Italian motorcycles wasn't great.

Mine have been on and off, up and down, but there's little doubt they're beautifully built and i don't doubt this will be the same.

Beautifully built isn't the phrase that springs to mind for my Husqvarna, that was more "slung together on a Friday afternoon" and the same goes for the 1995 Ducati 900SS I seriously considered buying. Though every year I seriously consider buying a Hypermotard.

LOL what was built 30 years ago isn't what's built now.

True (ish) but why spend my money on something I don't trust?

I suspect one of the reasons I don't get an Italian bike is because it's not a Yamaha (yes, I've got a Yamaha fetish similar to your KTM one) so while Yamaha make an R6, I'll always buy that before an Aprillia

It's weird when I think about the bikes I'd buy, and there's no way I'd buy an XJR1300, because it's a Yamaha, but if it were made by Kawasaki or Suzuki, I'd buy one, I'm weird.

I know you do, but you'd be happier if the same bike was made by KTM

Lol maybe sir maybe. My mind has drifted to the improved electronic bits the 790 has over my XSR, especially with Portimao next year

This is the Tuono version. A bit too much bodywork to be considered a true naked I think. But then Tuonos have always been that way, haven't they?

Back when the 600 class was actually fought over 100bhp was about the benchmark wasn't it?

Late 90s, the 2010 we have us 114 crank, the 636 maybe 120
