So why bother posting it? And all the extra stuff?
So you're at it again. Editing my post so you can make some snarky comment regarding the subselection of words you have chosen rather than the meaning of my original post.
Yup, to save other people having to wade through pages of irrelevant (to my question) content

You've put up two extensive posts (one where you claimed she is half white) about her background.

Yet you claim you don't care about it.

Please let us know when you're posting something you do care about. Read that as snarky if you want

PS the only two people who have ever complained about edited posts are you and Irie.

Let's establish one thing here, no one can edit posts apart from Mods. So let's stop using that.

Quoting selectively or in part is perfectly allowed and I have no issues with that.

Quoting and changing someone's words into an insult etc I would have a problem with.

Hope that's clear 🙂

Judging by the way her accents change depending on who she's talking to, she sounded like a Southerner old white KKK member in Georgia a few days ago.
Seriously?? You're judging someone because their accent changes???

FFS, my accent (when I speak English) totally changes depending on the accents of the people I'm talking to. It's really annoying and I didn't realise it until I was in my late 20's but it's automatic. I don't 'do it' - it just happens and always has. (No idea if I do the same in French - probably not, yet!!)

That's such a small thing to pick up on, my guess is that if people are getting their knickers in a twist about something so little that so many people do without thinking, then they obviously think she has a chance to best the T bloke and so need to find any tiny little thing.

Best I not run for any office as I can't speak in one accent!!

I highly doubt your accent changes from Jamaican Rastafarian to Klan member Southerner in the space of 24 hours, no matter who you're talking to.

It changes from Somerset - Kiwi - Irish - Essex - Scottish!! If I'm talking to someone, apparently my accent can change really fast to match who I'm talking to. Worse in a group!!

Less now I'm aware of it but even tho I know, it just changes

So yes - I think it really can change dramatically without plan or thought within the space of an hour or less, so 24 hours is easy!! LOL Just depends who I talk with!

You need to listen to Yvette Cooper - more yorkshire that Sam Smiths when back in the ridings, but sort of posh when in London!

That's not the case with Harris, it's deliberate pandering. Oddly enough the only other two people that do this are Hilary & Obama. No other politician does it, just those three... & Obama pretty much stopped doing it when he was asked about it. Hilary still does it.

I was accused of the same - and not sure how you can be so sure that she's doing it deliberately.

For some people it is automatic. Ok, maybe she was told and uses it. But now I'd guess she'll stop!!

But it really does start out totally automatic!

She's actually getting worse. The Jamaican accent came out on a talk show while being interviewed by a white guy in NY. She dropped a "yes mon" sounding like a Brixton Rasta (& yes, I know her dad is Jamaican).

I'd been here a while (3 or 4 years) before I asked a friend what a California accent sounded like as it seemed everyone was from somewhere else.

Being from South London I'm lucky enough not have any discernible accent.

🤣🤣 TBF, (when not dropping into accents of people I’m talking to) I always thought I didn’t have an accent. Then a Kiwi mate said he loves my accent 😳 ???

When I asked, essentially my actual accent sounds a bit posh :( :(

Oh well 🤣🤣🤣

I spent years 0-10 in Bexleyheath, Sarf Lahndan, and when we moved to Stafford one of the kids at school said ' I like your language'... I used to work with a guy from Welling and I loved talking to him (well, listening actually), cos it reminded me of how I used to speak as a kid.
