£25! Funnily enough after I'd added money this month, not saying that there's a conspiracy regarding dormant accounts............

I only invested in them 6 weeks ago as the ISA the funds was in was woeful. That 50 quid is already about half the return i got from the ISA in over a year before the interest rates on them plummeted. I'll leave the funds in the bonds and keep an eye on the ISA rates once the expected inflation kicks in
£25 , (tin hat time ,funnily enough I’d paid in to the account )

You're literally more likely to get struck by lightning than win a million on t'bonds.
True.
Interesting how some banks are not in a rush to increase their savings rate.
Current rates - Lots of information on this excellent site.
For several years I've been buying PB's at £500 per month, I then sometimes release some of the bonds for other things, sometimes investments, sometimes toys !
Last month I decided to change my tactic, I'm going to continue to buy PB's at £250 pcm but I'll also be sending £250 a month off my BTL mortgage as thats at approx 5%!
I have some investments maturing at the end of this year which will clear the mortgage and leave me some change. The change will go into PB's then once I reach £25k I'll move it into peer to peer lending as the return is 6.5% and they do seem fairly safe. In fact my kid brother has a decent amount in there and he's currently buying a workshop, but borrowing the money as the interest he receives from peer to peer will more than cover his mortgage !
