Lots of 1 hour rides suggests lots of fun rides so a good sign the bike is doing it's job. I'll have to try and get Suffolk, North Essex way at some point. I think a few people said they could do Heybridge/Mersea/Manningtree way.

I could do that on a weekend, but give me plenty of notice as I'm probably busy for the next month
I think I spent £135 on petrol doing those 800 miles, bike does about 40mpg, so 20 gallons at £6.75ish

Oil and filter changed today after a ride to Lowestoft.
8035 miles on it now, I've put the Black Widow can back on because the bike is smoother with it on and less tiring to ride.

Been out on it twice today, before rain and after rain, done about 90 miles.
Insurance renewal came through today, £210 fully comp, no excess

Another 50 miles today, a trip to Aldeburgh and back, Aldeburgh was heaving with idiots, so no photos as there was nowhere scenic to park.

I've been fiddling round with screens, fitted this yesterday
It works well and looks okay, but it's made of metal and I didn't like the idea of having a metal blade right where it's likely to smack me in the face in a crash, so I decided to make a same size and shape screen out of plastic, looking round my garage I saw an old universal touring screen I bought for my CB400 about 10 years ago, a bit of cutting and drilling later and I've got this
It looks better than the metal one and works better, I'm pretty happy with it.

Tonight I spent 45 minutes getting my Acerbis brake protector to work with the standard bar end weight, only to find this was pretty useless as you could move the protector with gentle pressure on it.
I then discovered you can just pull the bar insert out and use the one that came with the Acerbis, which took about 5 minutes to do.

Track evening completed.
It's the heaviest bike I've ever ridden on track and you could feel it, especially under braking, I had the ABS lights coming on a few times when the back end lifted under braking, the Dunlop tyres lack feel and don't give much feed back, but they do grip, it felt a bit odd riding on road tyres on track, I prefer the more rigid construction of a race tyre.
It's fast, without trying much I was hitting about 150mph on the straights, it probably top out at about 160, pretty good for an unfaired bike, but, despite the high top speed and good acceleration, I think I lapped faster on my FZR400 a few years ago, the FZR cornered a fair bit quicker.
I really enjoyed the evening, we got 3 full sessions and one half session when a 2000 mile 2024 Suzuki GSX1000GT (the touring version) broke a chain, which knocked a hole in the crankcases, spreading oil the length of the start straight - I felt sorry for the guy, hopefully it will get fixed on warranty.
