Re: GSXS 1000 - Mofo's Gixxus
Didn't have time to update yesterday. Managed a good 80 miles up to (but not to) Burnham via Epping and over the top of Billericay, then through Stow Maries up to near Maldon then back via the Dunmow road.
Wound her up to...dunno how many revs cos I was too busy watching the world fling itself at me at a very rapid rate indeed. She's fast I can confirm.
She def needs a wash now so that might happen next weekend and I'll fit the top box arms. Did consider Cheesy's panniers but then I have to buy the rack and bags whereas I already have a Givi case so top box it is. Fitting looks fairly straightforward so I will probably only mess it up a little bit!

Re: GSXS 1000 - Mofo's Gixxus
So today Matthew I've wankered it
Sick of reading about all the bling and performance mods of everyone else's bikes and wanting to use the bike for work tomorrow (1 day in the office a week) requiring lappy, docking station, lunch etc I decided to finally fit the top box. I've put it off for 6 months but they really are bloody practical so....
Pics especially for Skub
Stealth (less shit mode)
Cool kid mode
Milky bars are on me (I can carry shit loads of em now)

It's removable.
Or, you can fill it with bricks and call it 'pro-wheelie'.

The offending article itself may indeed be removable, but the damage incurred to the perpetrator's cool will be irreversible.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 8:59 pmIt's removable.

No amount of mind bleaching products will make the long suffering viewers forget the sight of the carbuncle clacked on the rear.
Mofo's rep is beyond tarnished,it's hanging in tatters, probably like his boyfriends stern tube.

Having a litre Suzuki gives so many cool points, you can afford to lose a few. Lucky he hasn't got one of those low spec shopping bikes that are so fashionable on hereSkub wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 9:05 pmThe offending article itself may indeed be removable, but the damage incurred to the perpetrator's cool will be irreversible.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 8:59 pmIt's removable.

I liked this post despite not knowing what a stern tube is. You're welcome.

That top box looks awful, words fail me, it's truly shite, anything that requires that to be out on a bike isn't worth carrying, and stay away from low bridges.

Re: GSXS 1000 - Mofo's Gixxus
Funnily enough I noticed they are fucking massive the other day, biggest I've had since...dunno probably my KH100. Not sure if it's the fact I'm not entirely happy with the tyres or I've become a massive fanny. The ones on my 690 were pretty much non existent whereas these are bigger than the top boxKungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 9:28 pm Looking at the picture again, do you need Couchy to get rid of your chicken strips too?
