Yeah bike racing has become so commercialised these days.

One of my fellow Banditeers on (well, off actually ) his freshly built Bandit at Anglesey , and he's already well on the way to really making it look just like his old bike on it's first time out

Just got another couple from this meeting, this time with me in them on my two bikes (obvously from two separate races)- both sum up Bandit racing for me

No 96 in the first pic below is the crasher in the previous post, this pic was taken 5 mins or so before the crash pic



And me fighting it out on TB in one of the other races with "young un" Kieran, that was a great race with a race-long battle between us

I recognised the rider straight away from back in the day.
I made a comment about something only he would have known about,to which he replied.
Have spent quite a while now reminiscing with him from 40 years ago.

How top-level MotoGP riders used to operate- am guessing that this was at one of the Anglo-American Match Race rounds

That's nothing. Hailwood used to wear through the outside "corner" of his boots and frequently rode with them duct-taped up to "sort of "protect his toes.
