Today's malarky... Rusty fairing hardware spent a night in the Evaporust. I'm missing two of the dome nuts, two of the countersunk screws & one of the washers.
Dome nuts will likely get replaced by 10mm Nylocs anyway (there's a bunch of dome nuts on both GPz's)
The two screws are from the mirror mounts & I may have spares.. I've got a few spare mirrors for parts
& the 4th washer was here.... until I dropped it in the garage last night causing it to teleport to another dimension... bugger.

This crack closes up when manipulated, so it will be getting a hot staple or two on the back side. Picked up a 50W hot stapler from Horrible Fright for a pittance. The reviews of the 100W versions on Amazon were all over the place & the 200W jobbie had even worse reviews.
Got a lot of sanding to make those stress cracks disappear... I see a lime green rattle can in my future...

Fired up the hot stapler. Thank fuck I didn't get the 100w or 200w versions...
First attempt I managed to put the staple right through the fairing. Reheated it & removed that one... started over, got the hang of it by end... two wrigglies, two wavies. Probably should have used four wavies.
and should have used those visegrips instead of trying to hold the crack closed with one hand when I put that first one through the fairing.

No biggie, short, but steep, learning curve is all.
