I have it in my mind that in the past I worked on a car that had vacuum powered pop up headlights? But cant for the life of me think what car that would be, or maybe i'm imagining it?
Lotus?
How we took the piss out of a mate's one eyed Europa. Wish I had one now
Yes!!! It would have been a Lotus Eclat! They used washer fluid pipe!
No idea which Lotus this is, but it may be up for sale soon.

Someday I'll own a car with flip up headlights.
...starts searching eBay for Starions and 480s.
We used to have a Mk1 MX5 with the pop up lights.
Turning them on knocked a few mpg off and blocked about 30% of the forward view.

No sleepy eyes module?
My mates MK1 had one, you could set them to only half open, not really sure why.

I wont be buying it! Hateful things. Pretty much a british leyland parts bin with a bad Lotus engine in!

Are they Allegro door latches I see before me?
(Having said that, I had a VW with Porsche door handles...or possibly it was vice versa
).
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

IIRC the twirly air vents in the old BMR R-RT fairing were from the Ford parts bin.

One of the guys I went to Uni with now has a Volvo with Ferrari alloys
They used the same hole pattern at some point in the 80s/90s.
