Water....coming out of taps!
36 hours after it went off. Probably just in time for the hose pipe ban

Must be the 4th time in recent years they've been handing out bottled water in the area. Privatised utilities? Competition?

On the plus side they'll have had less sewage to dump in the rivers.
Oh well, good trial run for the shape of things to come I suppose, Iiving like we're in Eastern Turkey in the 80s...powers on

so the water must be off

- Had to buy a UPS when we first moved here.

I take a €50 deposit of some of my guests so the look after the cabin and clean it properly. They nearly always give me a €50 note. I've just worked out that if I hand them back 2 x €20 and a €10 my chances of getting a tip sky rocket !

Maybe you should run through all the permutations, 5 tens, 3 tens and a twenty and so on to see which has the highest tip yield

Put your deposit up to €60, and return it as 3 x €20. No options, Uncle Bob.

Which way would people tipping €10 go? If 2 out of 3 go for the twenty option then it's still worth doing even if the number of tips reduces.

When a guest hasn't done their clean properly but you're hungover / kind/ can't be bothered to argue so you just give them their deposit back and clean it yourself...... and find a €5 note under one of the beds !

Got the ITV (MOT) for the Husky
The ITV places are run by morons who love beurocracy and going by the book.
It all became too much and now we just take it to local dealer to do it all.
It needed light and indicators and horn fixing initially.
Then it failed on noise test.
It passed second time as the shop bodged it.
All for 99€
Happy Yorick.

I only know what mantequilla means because of Fawlty Towers. And it taught me to count to three in Spanish.

Today my beautiful daughter turned 18. Big hug, much happiness. back to her room now, that was enough affection for the year. Will be taking her out this afternoon to see her puppy again, then quick shop for the evening celebration meal of roast potatoes, halloumi and ice cream. Don't think I mentioned it, she is a Straight A's A levels student too. Worked through anxiety, depression and much more and still achieved so well.

When a guests pays me to clean thier mobile as they didn't want to and then I see it and think " This is cleaner than some of the ones that don't pay for a clean "

Had to use my dremel today but I couldn’t find it anywhere. But when in the loft-of-plenty searching, the loft-of-plenty delivered me this alternative, which did the job! No idea where it came from but I have learnt not to question these mysteries, just enjoy the benefits of the loft-of-plenty!

My loft has 6000 things in it (broken, unwanted, might-be-useful) which I store until I can't get anything else in there.
And then I get pissed off with it and take it all down the dump.

There is so much stuff in my loft it's ridiculous. My wife is a worse hoarder than me, my Sons baby clothes are up there and he's 28 now ffs!

We need to get a big skip in and be harsh about what stays and what goes and that's why its never been done!

Met up with a mate in Les Gets tonight for beers and banter. I've never ever met him in UK, only in Alps, but he's a lovely fella and really pleased to see him.
