Plenty in pubs and its short wearing weather!
Scenario; I walk past 4 gorgeous Chicks sitting in the beer garden.
Gorgeous chick 1. "Wow, see that Hunks scar on his knee"!
Gorgeous chick 2. "He literally has the same scars on his other knee"!
Gorgeous chick 3. "OMFG like really".
Gorgeous chick 2. "He literally does"
Gorgeous chick 4. "I hear he rides a MT-09 too".
Gorgeous chick 1. "With scars like that he's probably binned it a few times."

When I'm trying to move a project on and I've asked three times now by email for some key information from Mr Useless Planner - and not once has he given me the courtesy of a response.
Before things get out of hand, I thought I'd ask again, but this time I cc'd in the Chief Engineer in charge of the overall operation, he'll be able to see me asking several times with no response, going on for days, into last week.
All information sent within 5 mins, funny that - I can imagine what's going on now

Golden rule no. 1 - If you get no response to an email, copy in progressively higher levels of management until you do. I had to try and get 'India' to do stuff and was routinely ignored until I went to the top and asked for help. It got done in no time flat.Ant wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 1:43 pm When I'm trying to move a project on and I've asked three times now by email for some key information from Mr Useless Planner - and not once has he given me the courtesy of a response.

Never seen an Otter in the wild in my life. Seen 100's in captivity but this morning in the pond at the back of my house was an otter dicking about in the water. Must have been there for a good half hour enjoying the water and rain. Bloody ducks were scattering all over the place though

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
There was I sitting quietly on my sofa, half an eye on the view, the other 1.5 looking at the laptop and writing boring stuff!
I heard a bike (sort of) noise come up and rev outside and then the yell of "Noggin"!!! A mate arrived from the UK today and brought his C90 with him
So I rushed down and we chatted for ages. He's the only Brit I get to chat bikes with properly, a couple of the others ride a bit, but don't seem to have much passion! Charlie loves all things bike and equally loves chatting about them
He's dead keen to see the Monster too, so with a bit of luck, if it doesn't pour down tomorrow, I'll bimble down to see him (only about 1km away!) tomorrow and see what he thinks
It's been a good day

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Today is another good day!! The C90 friend was heading to the valley so I hitched a lift to do some shopping. So, 45 ish minutes each way of chatting with a similar minded person for the first time in AGES!!! And we went to see my friend that sells pasties C90man hadn't been to her shop before so he's very happy now too!!
And, and, and; later today a friend is coming to resort to say en route to elsewhere. All the way from the UK
Off to see my scary but awesome (and fit) physio in a bit, so, today rocks so far
Havne't ridden the Monster as only just got back from the valley, but might bimble down the road on it later

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
When you reluctantly agree to fix a friends car, not because you know what you are doing, but because you have the tools. First bolt I removed I dropped, now I'm on my knees on gravel, in shorts trying to retrieve the bolt from the undertray/ splash guard....
What do I see ?......
This little fekker !!
for reassembly, due to the fine teeth, it actually worked better than the Snap-on Ratchet I had been using !! I got the MAS fitted and my friend was only too happy for me to keep the find

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Not especially insignificant (to me, at least!) but - physio couldn't find any issues with the knee or shoulder after yesterday's bike ride
Life is good! More riding tomorrow And, the house that I'm cat sitting at from tomorrow has a pool Lots of pool therapy, bit of swimming and maybe some short bursts of sunbathing
Very happy Smixxy right now
