Put the battery tender on the F350 for the day (it's been parked a while)
Faffed about with the GPz11 (I'm now 5 days into the oil change, should be done by Monday)

Took the MT09 out. Fuck me, forgot how much of a laugh it is. Went to Newlands corner, couldn't park up as it was full of patch club members (Red Devils MC and Immortals MC). Did about another 60 miles, rode home and impressed the youngest son with a burn out on the patio, Mrs.Badger was less impressed.

Slept for more than 6 hours. It's been a long time since I've done that.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Yesterday I ran some swa from the garage to the bar cleated it to the bottom of the fence, wired in four sockets in the bar and watched the FIL install the glands at both ends (I was going to do it, but he seemed quite eager).
I didn't get to YESSSS before it shut on Saturday, so I still need an RCBO for the garage consumer unit.

Put the garden waste out, only to notice that somebody has stolen an edging sett from my front garden.
Photo taken more for my benefit when trying to hunt down a replacement than for dramatic true-life crime re-enactment.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Wife and I have decided to try one day a week without sitting at either end of the couch buried in our iPads all day.
We chose a Sunday because at least part of the time will be taken up by F1 or MotoGP.
It wasn’t too bad and will be better when we can get out into the garden. We go on about kids attached to their screens but we’re just as bad.

I found myself chatting to Mrs. G and trying to maintain a couple of Whatsapp chats the other day. Realised I was being that person that I criticise. I've started leaving the phone in the kitchen of an evening now.Scotsrich wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 11:24 am Wife and I have decided to try one day a week without sitting at either end of the couch buried in our iPads all day.

How lucky is Mrs. G, having my witty and stimulating conversation all to herself of an evening?

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I done moved a 14th Century Sea Chest in the church. First I emptied it, got it onto a piece of old carpet and slid it carefully into the corner where it will now abide in greater view and now I have somewhere to store the stage dolly when it is delivered tomorrow afternoon.
Put up the Safeguarding Noticeboard in the church porch. A fiddle as the plaster is so very fragile, but I seem to have succeeded.
Installed a Water2 Filter + Chlorine Filter on the sink cold water supply. Both my children drink a lot of water, so I wanted to give them something cleaner to enjoy. Cheaper than bottled water in the long run. Also, the coffee will taste much nicer too. Not quite the 10 minutes their bumpf says it will take, but 30 minutes of fiddling and all sorted.
Ordered a replacement car door for the Skoda as the window regulator has failed again, and I think the inner frame is bent as the window was hitching part way when closing. Had regulator replaced two years ago by local garage for £260, the door cost £175 delivered and comes fully intact. Plug and play. I just need to spray it the right colour. The colour coded spray paint with lacquer costs £18 delivered, so I will give the "new" door a rub down and rust proof the corners, spray and lacquer it on the Saturday afternoon if the deliveries all line up. New door on the car on Sunday if all goes well.
Oh, and I am now trying to enjoy my day of rest.... after finishing off a funeral service plan for Friday. Still have to work on my sermon for Palm Sunday. At least it is a Benefice Service, so only one service with both churches in attendance.

Bought a sofa ..
Then dug out my Brompton from the back of the cupboard intending to resurrect it.
Puncture and knackered rear tyre.
Hope to have it on the road soon but the rear hub is grumbling a bit so that may need changing (it’s 17 years old)

Managed 15 minutes of GPz11 faffery in the garage before heat stopped play.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Only one physio session today, so a bit of a long day - but there isn't a lot they can do with the busted leg for now, so it's basic/simple mobility exercises and the weird machine that bends the leg!! The Thursday and Friday physio is the most interesting with exercises, but luckily today's was a stand in and very gentle as I had an achy knee yesterday
But, Fb has started throwing Lego ads at me - this might be the closest I get to having a Shelby Cobra!! Although I wanted the MT10 but they seem to have discontinued that

If things continue to be this boring, I may end up getting a Lego kit for a laugh!! As most people do, I bloody love lego

Drove to Plymouth. Fuck me they like their speed cameras here.
Used the leccy car as I'm in the depths of Cornwall for three days and don't want to get stranded here if they run out of diesel. Which made a four and a half hour drive the best part of a five and a half hour drive, even using a super fast charger. Ugh.
Ho hum. Found a nice looking place to eat, so things are looking up

Re: What have you done today thread?
There's a popular bar here that's a bit non Spanish
Like it here many times
Came in an hour ago and a beardy weirdy next to me sat at bar.
Politely ignored him.
But he persevered. From Lithuania and loved bikes. Been here 20 times and done all the routes.
I actually apologised for my first impressions.
We had a giggle. Then he showed me his tour map history.
He always hires bikes.
Top, top man

Shed busting, and yes we managed to drop it on ourselves as we were cutting out some the panels.
And it started hailing on us as we finished.

"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"

Re: What have you done today thread?
Dropped the female pup off at the Vet at 7am to get fixed, just picked her up at 4.05pm. She's wearing her brothers megaphone for a couple of days.
Her brother has been moping about all day wondering where she was. We put her in her crate when we get her home & her brother spent several minutes lapping it like a greyhound before settling down.

Started the journey home. Waiting for the ferry to depart for Calais and a short 1000km drive. With a full van and trailer. A long day awaits.
