Today, the wildcard blew the 5 experienced guys out of the water - he'll be getting an offer shortly, congrats to the RAF for developing this guy over the last 25 years.![]()

Inlaned,* not coastal!
*Inlaned is actually inland, but I can't spell it.

Administered judgement over an area of considerable desolation.

Learned a new Spanish expression that I rather like.
"Gato con guantes no caza ratones"
'A cat in gloves catches no mice'
Sometimes you have to get stuck in and get your hands dirty, metaphorically or otherwise, to get a job done.

The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Taxed the MT and had first ride for ages, clock still on summer time. Midwest moto had a CF moto 675 outside, sporty thing and very tidy I thought. Think also an 800 adv type, tidy enough but still think I'd go with Voge 800 rally.
They reckon they're selling loads of Voge 350 rallys and they do look decent enough. RE bear inside was nearly 7k, reckon the price is climbing on them, does look nice though imo in grey ish.
Had a mate with me and that usually means no pic's. 127 miles of sunshine joy.

No pic's.

They get up to about 8ft... but that might be a Mojave... The really bad motherfucker among rattlers. Neuro AND Hemo toxin. The neuro part hurts like fuck & pretty much paralyses you so you stop breathing & the other part turns your blood into jelly.Taipan wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 11:00 pm Holy fuck, is that the biggest western diamond back ever?!?!?
Bloke here got bit by one here several years ago, made it to the closest hospital where he got the first shot of antivenom within 20 minutes, then life flighted to LA where he got 37 more shots. Had to have blood draws for a month to make sure it was solidifying in his veins. That antivenom shit is $10k a shot...

Re: What have you done today thread?
prepared myself to get rinsed for food again. Paid £25 in a garden centre cafe for 2 hot drinks and 2 paninis yesterday and now we're off to the coast for a dog walk and lunch and I bet it'll be even worse in a seaside pub! Cost of living crisis? No shortage of punters in these places?

Re: What have you done today thread?
Took a communion service this morning at the church. Then had a chat with some people, life and so on. Then outside to walk the dog.
Lunch with my daughter. Baked flapjacks because I can. Fixed the reason why my number plate lights were not turning on. A broken wire in the boot wiring loom right at the hinge and other bits are not that are behind. Might have to get a new loom at this rate. MOT due in 9 days, so it was urgent.
Fetching wife from the station in a short while and then cooking salmon and potatoes. Have a wedding meeting at 6pm.
Enjoy the evening!

Never been to Maldon. I'll check out Google maps in a min, always like to know where places are.
Me, I got a better chain fitted to the monkey. The Torque monster is eating up chains in 750 miles, I'd of never thought that.

I've cycled there a good few times with the club. Bloody long ride but the destination is worth the effort. Not so much the reverse ride home.Taipan wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 5:13 pm Went to a sunny Maldon and had fish n chips and a pint of 0% Guinness.![]()
