I covered this back on April 26 this year. I said:

And you've probably never heard of them either. I hadn't. However they seem to be quite big in Austria, if their press statements are anything to go by.

As importers of small and mid-range bikes, they currently handle machines built by CF Moto, Malaguti, Lambretta and Royal Enfield, and claim to sell over 60,000 products each year - motorcycles, quads, ATVs and electric bikes.

Brixton showed a large capacity parallel twin concept at a bike show late last year. With its classic parallel twin styling, it's clearly aimed head-on at Triumph's Bonneville T120.

Although it will be built in China the design and development work for the new model was all carried out in-house by KSR.

Details such as name and engine size are still under wraps, but Chinese press reports suggest that the new bike’s parallel twin engine is around 1200cc, which suggests where its aimed. Although reports suggest it could be ready for production as early as 2021, Brixton won't commit to a date yet, only saying “It is a declared goal that this bike will also make it into series production.

“It has not yet been decided when it will be. We want to create a technically mature vehicle without time pressure, which meets more than just the high quality requirements in these cubic capacity classes.”

The big question is "will it sell"?

The Japanese Bonneville look-a-like the Kawasaki W800 has been sold since 2011, and the earlier W650 ran from 1999 to 2006, but neither has shifted in significant numbers, so whether a Chinese Bonneville replica will cut the mustard with British buyers is open to question.

But [the UK] may not be the target market. It may be that the bike is actually aimed at the ever-growing Indian and Indonesian markets. I'm sure we'll find out in due course.

apparantly a binnion made egli frame, in the slaters laverda shed.Bike put together from boxes of bits by a Ken Taylor from Coventry

Apart from the fact it's shiny, I don't like anything at all about that one.

Think its been in the build process for a long time...hope the rear sets work better than mine on the Mirage they're sketchy at best

Presumably the large front wheel is so there's a wide choice of off road tyres?

Me neither, and I love Vinnies, and most Norvins, Eglis etc.
Well almost anything- I do like the front brake and the finish of the motor but the rest is all to cock .
