An area of local woodlands I sometimes take the dog into has loads of what I thought was ivy vines, well it seems I can't have been looking very hard at em cos its actually honeysuckle and is currently in bloom over the woodlands and just smells great.
Plus theres loads of wild orchids in bloom also, likely just common orchids but nice all the same.

Oh and the dog chases squirrels, then jumps up at the base of the tree as if he might have a chance of catching the grey thats 35 feet above him.

I finished a 'thing' for a friends baby yesterday. Didn't take long to do but had to wait for some stuffing for the lavender duck!! LOL

It's called a 'doudou' on the pattern, but a 'cuddle/sunggle cloth' maybe??

Gremlinette had a similar thing made of felt as a baby, which was a bedtime essential. Funny enough, it was simply known as 'Nu-nu'. It went everywhere with us and I think it's in a memory box somewhere. I'm pretty sure we washed it prior to stashing it as it was pretty minging by the time she'd finally given it up....

Baby D's first ever stuffed toy was something similar. It was an octopus with coiled up tentacles given to her by the Neonatal Unit when she had to spend time in the fish tank. Apparently the coils remind babies of the umbilical chord and it comforts them, I don't see how they can know that!

Twas knitted by local grannies who donate them to the hospital and we got to keep it afterwards.

Pull the white flower out of its green cup and suck through the hole at the base of the petals and you'll taste where it gets its name from.

My Mums JRT used to run up trees after squirrels until gravity took over!

Quinine.

I've been suffering from cramp, the problem mostly happened by waking me up with excruciating pain in my legs. I thought it was just old age and something I'd have to live with but eventually I spoke to my GP and she prescribed quinine. 10 days now and it seems to be completely cured.

Maybe I should have developed a taste for gin & tonic but I tried it years ago and it was disgusting.

Summer's finally here. It's been mid to high 20s for a few weeks, but the wind has been cold. Mid 30s today and warm wind.

The Spanish way makes me giggle

In January I ordered some rear brake pads for the Husky. But the seller in UK didn't put the right info on the label so Spanish post stopped them, unbeknown to me.
A month later I put claim to Ebay and was refunded.

Just after I got a shitty letter from Correos asking for a million pieces of info. I giggled so I sent them off.

They replied that they all had to be in a PDF format. WTF. ????

So I did just that but was rejected coz one was upside down. That's when I decided to have some fun. I sent a few more with varying sideways stuff

Still the office twat was having none of it, even threatening me

So I sent a copy of the refund from Ebay and told them to send the package back to the UK as it didn't legally belong to me


Then I ordered a new pair to UK where her nephew arrives tmrw.

Guess what ? the original package arrived today

Hope you sent it back I cancelled with Amazon but is it was ordered the same day as other items they were all chucked in the one oversized box and driver was none the wiser to a cancelation. I got a refund and the item what was nice. God knows what i am going to do with Transit Mk7 injector seals but it was free.

Lady came to see it and straight away said, 'Oh! It's lovely'. Her partner had a little look around, noted a few things, but said it was nice. I pointed out the door speaker was blowing a bit and could do with replacing. He shrugged and said it wasn't a problem if we could come to an agreement on price. We did the dance of finance, she made an offer which I politely declined then she asked me my lowest price, which she accepted.
I asked if they wanted to see the paperwork, to which they both said no. I suggested that really they should, so they came in, had a cursory glace at the V5, then she handed £200 in cash to me as a deposit.

They were there all for 10 minutes I reckon. Easiest car sale I've ever had.

I love being so close to the beach. 3 of us headed down around 19:30 last night. We swam, we chatted we played cards. We watched an amazing sunset while a (nearly) full moon was viewable behind us. Awesome, just awesome.

It's a posh name for an extractor fan that runs permanently at a slow speed as well as usual extractor functions.
It's solved my problem of a wet room that never dries out and it's also provided amusement for children "have you set the smell detector off yet?".

Good question. The reason I've sold it was that it was sitting on the drive, never being used. Add into the equation that the Gremlinette now has a car that I have use of, I put on my sensible hat and decided it was one vehicle too many.

However, the sensible hat, just like the bumming hat, can be worn or not worn depending on the whim of the wearer. We shall see how it pans out.....
