It looks hefty enough that someone might have whacked them around the back of the head with it.

The Spirit of Ectasy , also known as the Flying Lady , that adorns Rolls Royce cars was based on Eleanor Thornton an actress and artists model who was the lover of Lord Montague of Beaulieu , the publisher of an early car magazine. He commissioned Charles Skyes , a close friend , to create the statuette as a mascot for his 1909 Silver Ghost.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Mate had a cat and a Saint Bernard dog.
Dog tried to follow the cat, ended up with head wedged in the cat flap. Oh, this was several yards down the garden because the dog had removed the lower panel of the door.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
The little guys is just about 22 1/2" at the shoulder now and 21 kilos and currently if I hold the dog flap (well two cats get to use it also) open he can jump through it without touching the outer.
He's got a bit to grow yet as he's just seven months old, I doubt he'll get much taller now (totally guessing at a couple of inches or so) but I expect him to put on a bit of muscle cos both his parents were pretty solid.
He absolutely loves running but doesn't always seem too bothered about looking out for people so we've all had him hit us at full speed. Doesn't seem to bother him, the git.

Pedicure as well. Little fella doing it actually frowned at my feet and got the scraper out to take off all the hard, crusty skin.
Soft trotters now, mind.

Had a cat years ago (Oscar) who loved the snooker. The head would be fallowing the balls all over the screen. The Grouse Whisky adverts also with that annoying tune in the late 90's. The wee bugger would wake up in another room to race through and watch the stupid Grouse walk along the screen
