I am now a very happy Noggs cos I have a fridge full (over full in all honesty) of very excellent cheddar

I also got two very large cauliflowers for a VERY excellent price

( they've been over 3,50β¬ a piece for a long time, this are huge and cost 1,49β¬). So, even when I've made a ton of cauli cheese for the freezer, I still have a load left - hopefully will last until the next offer.
Bugger cauliflower cheese, try this (minus the shrooms).

TBF, I do often put bacon bits in my caulicheese - I did buy some today as well
And I even bought mushrooms
Will probably make one plain and one adulterated; I bought two heads of cauli, so have LOADS!!! and the chest freezer is almost

empty

Earlier today I took female pup to the store, so that was her first experience of the World (other than 5 trips to the vet). Then around noon I took her brother to the pub. He'd already been to the store yesterday.
Kinda quiet at the pub with it being Turkey Day, just 6 other people & one dog. He sat on my lap & just chilled, so that bodes well. Next time I'll take the his sister to the pub & see how she does.

Dragged a pallet on a pallet truck (manual, none of the 'leccy nonsense). Last time I did that I was 16 and working in Bejam, the now defunct frozen food store.

How to find a puncture the Yorick way.
Unfortunately the tyre has a leak. Also the inner Tubliss system

Booked ferry to Ireland, taking lady D and the car this time. Β£445.

and bought a new helmet that I didn't really need.

Will get a bit of cashback on ferry through pension provider, however, not a lot.

Bolsover Castle.
The 2nd trip to make use of my English Heritage membership (first was Gainsborough Old Hall). Turned out that Bolsover itself was having some kind of Christmas event/market too, which was nice.
Was a bit rainy, defo going back when it's sunny.
I think I might do Hardwick Hall next (it's National Trust, but you can get in for free with English Heritage membership).

At least there's one thing we do better than the PRC

What a fantastic memory for you all to have.

Wrestled with 'Recovery Mode' on a PC and rescued the last few dribs and drabs of data.
Next up - 'Factory Reset'.
Should be interesting, restoring it to how it was...ooh...7? years ago. Then it'll probably do a fortnight's worth of updates.
Then it can go in the 'loft of might be useful one day technology'.

You'd be better off smashing it to pieces for some violence therapy

I've been accumulating far too many "might come in useful one day" peices of technology, mainly pc's and laptops.
If I could find a school who wanted them I would stick Chrome OS Flex on them and donate them. I might go and talk to the local food bank and see if I can set up a technology donation point, old smartphones, laptops etc so they can be donated for kids to do homework on. (Assuming they can afford an internet connection I guess)
The one's only fit for recycling I need to create a pile and remove the HDD's at some point so they can go in the WEEE skip

I have sooooo many old phones! I just don't know what's the best way to donate them or if it's better to bin them somewhere

Yeah, the factory reset failed. It's bricked.
So, the internal 1Tb disk that I added is coming out of it - and the SSD system disk and it's going in a skip. 27" screen stays though. I have got a use for that....unless it finds a better home.
The old Soundblaster box and speakers will probably join the PC.

Just wandered outside to watch the first of ten SpaceX launches this month. I can observe them from 150miles to the West just after launch, all the way to South of Baja.

School Collective Worship first thing in the morning, then off to visit my electrician, he has had major abdominal surgery. Celebrated the Eucharist with him and then popped in to see the PCC Secretary for some signatures and to fix her email issues. Then back to answer a swathe of emails, including a grant application that needs a lot more work. Going to Local Governors Board meeting at the school and then celebrating a Eucharist at 7pm as I've been in the parish for two years now! Then a single malt and eat dinner (which I will have cooked this afternoon!).

Had a stroke this morning
I got in touch with β¦..βs wife and got this reply -
Hi Noggin, thanks for checking in

. Not good news I'm afraid, Austin suffered a stroke on Thursday morning

.
He is currently in Cheltenham General, he has no use in his left arm and leg atm, but he can speak, and his mind is fine. Just praying he improves slightly each day

xx
They are treating him very well. He is desperate for a coffee but he is NBM atm, so fingers crossed he might be able to eat and drink soon

.
Slightly worried that they think his mind is fine

. Could be a bad sign

Crossing fingers heβs up and about and writing abuse with both hands very soon!!!
