I like using cruise control.

I set it on the motorway at 70mph.

Sat in the slow lane I catch up with slower cars, pull out into the middle lane to overtake and they speed up.

It happens almost every overtake, I don't think they do it deliberately, I think they see something in the corner of their eye and just speed up unconsciously, either that or they're all cunts.

There's also the drivers who catch you then slow down to your speed and tailgate you. I used to play a game with them: tap the cruise control - 1 mph slower, then again, and again, see how slow I can go before they realise and overtake.

Some people simply don't like the idea that a small car is overtaking them.

Quite possibly the issue. It's a silly little Fiat 500. Would be ok if it was the sooped up version but its a supposed hybrid with a 900cc engine

I get that a lot on the motorway doing transfers. Never experienced it on the mountain roads. In general people accept that the road is one they don't like and deal ok with people overtaking!! LOL

Get that overtaking thing a lot where i am. Its all mostly country roads with some faster areas but if they want to speed up hey ho. I pull back in and they are either now going the speed i was or even faster and i can carry as as i was. One that boils the wifes piss is the ones up the back bumper trying to push her on. Way i see them idiots is its annoying them more than me. Braking with the box rather than the brake seems to annoy them as well as 5mph under the road limit. If they do pass you end up right behind them minutes later as all the towns round here are now 20 zones anyway.

Trouble was that by the time she put her foot down properly, I was pretty committed and also, that sort of driving seriously pisses me off, so I wasn't gonna back off!! (If I hadn't known the road so well, I would have, but I do, so I could push it more than she could! LOL Even in the roller skate!)


The worst are the ones that don't know the road well so they drive really slowly so you overtake then at the next village you find them tailgating you cos they drive at the same speed regardless of the speed limit

Update on my SORN, the bank has refunded the money I paid, but have said that the company may still counter-claim. If the money is still in my account on the 7th October, it's all mine.

1- I've been to the same seminar the last 2 years
2- The speakers do not control the room, many people just talk amongst themselves
3- The entire thing is in French, spoken at breakneck speed
4- Last year some people were not wearing masks properly, again this was not dealt with
5- It's just standard bullshit "don't get drunk or take drugs before work" + " Be careful when lifting things " + " look after your colleagues "

NB I think this year, I'll sign in, go inside, if I see one person not wearing a mask properly I'll leave.

Sodding bastard online submission of passport photo

Managed to get a photo taken by phone (because the website will not accept any of the photos I have from the photo booth and the code can only be used in France ).

There is a tiny bit of shadow behind me - really difficult to get a photo with zero shadow taken (we tried a lot of room in various light!!)

Bloody site won't accept that either
