A lad I vaguely knew in Stafford had one of the very first Mach 3 triples. He was doing standing starts in a residential road near me. It wa actually quite scary just watching. For an 18 y. o. the sound and fury was overwhelming.

Anyone who has been to Portimao and seen how long that front straight is and how many climbs there are will realise just how awesome 2 mins flat around there on a 1990s 50-odd hp shopping bike on road tyres really is
