Apologies in advance for this awkward anti-aesthetic (not quite add a top box bad!) post,....what's the wind blast like with it having no screen?, the one thing I didn't like about my lil' ol' naked CB900Hornet (sure others could add a long list of their dislikes  ) was that it was great having a big engine and fun accelerating to speed but cruising at anything over 80mph or 90mph (depending on how windy it was that day) could be more painful than an elephant giving you a neck massage

I'd forgotten i owned one of those. IIRC twas a very nice bike, at least for my type of ridin as I rarely go into 3 figures on the speedo.

Up past Knockhill over to Crianlarich, down past Loch Lomond, over to Stirling then home.

About 250 miles and I’m knackered.

It’s hard work on those kind of roads with a heavy bike 2 up.

Hopefully it’ll be a bit easier when I get my new tyres on.

I'll be able to give you more detailed info on wind blast in the coming miles, but my speeds up to now haven't been in that range. Once I stop having punctures on days when I can ride,I'll let you know.

I know that route well ....too much bloody tourist traffic on most of it till you turn off at Balloch and on the homeward leg towards Stirling

I ride most days depending on which bike i am using. If its for my own use i have the Multistrada to play on and make me giggle. If its work i am on the Fazer 600 and its mostly low speed training for 125 and 50 cc mounted students. Had some fun the other day with a pair of lads who wanted to tune up their skills on 125's so took them on the 600cc A license test routes for a bit of a play. Both can ride well so wont be long till we get them through and on big bikes although the biggest block now is the lack of DVSA test slots.

We used to get 5 or 6 slots twice a week for Mod 2 , now we are getting 3-4 a week due to "covid" so you can guess the backlog mounting up as we have lots of Mod 1 slots and an excellent pass rate so mounting up a queue of people waiting for the Mod 2 road test :(

Last night’s TOMCC meeting. One of those balmy summer nights talking bikes and nonsense with like minded individuals- lovely.

Hardly used the bike this summer to be honest. According to Google photos I rode the MT-09 from Guildford to Bristol on the 15th July.

I've been to the shops a couple of times on the CG125 since.

5.30am start in the depot and was having to meet the ex later in town to see the younglings, I thought I'd take the bike rather than bother with parking.

Cool Pan,man!

Belfast is getting to be a nightmare for parking a car. Expensive and difficult.

The hospitals car parks are back to getting the arm in too. I'm in Antrim Area hospital most days to check on my Dad and the cost of travel means the parking fees add insult to injury.

I had to go to Antrim to get antibiotics for the missus as Dalriada is a covid centre, I took the bike as I could just weave round the barriers.

Someone is making serious coin from it.

I hit the road at 7am today,to avoid the usual sunny Sunday traffic. About 8am I paid a visit to the memorial gardens in Armoy, built to remember the road racers who were the Armoy Armada. You can walk around the perimeter of the garden where it has the names of the corners of the UGP set into the ground.

A peaceful spot and a lovely bit of solitude.
