I read a bit about people selling stuff in Etherium, various required 3rd parties charge so much they made a loss. I think a lot of the hype is kept going by those 3rd parties so they can carry on creaming real money off the top.

I so nearly did that but I need passport photos for the residency card here anyway, so figured I'd do that and be able to photograph the photo and upload

I had a set of Helibars due to come by DHL yesterday but had to take the OH to a hospital appointment.
No problem thinks me. We’ve got neighbours either side and take in each other’s parcels all the time. They are both home because we’ve seen them.
I gets a text from one of those neighbours saying they popped round to return my drill that they borrowed in the morning and only found a huge big parcel sitting on the mat in full view of anyone passing (and it’s a busy bit)
£400+ left sitting for anybody to walk off with.
To add insult to injury because we’re retired it’s us that get most of the parcels for either side and the couriers/ post are always grateful for that convenience. The very time we’re not in they stick it at the front door.
The card through the door was “In a safe place...front door”

Our latest Hermes driver does that. Walks up, puts it on the step, rings the doorbell, takes the photograph of the delivery and leaves. I've got a ring doorbell and ask him to give it to next door, but no matter how many times i call to him, he just blanks me and carries on with his routine!

It was yesterday. Not a proper BMP but something I've noticed drivers do often but I haven't had it happen on a mountain road before!!
Following three cars down from resort. There aren't many places to overtake lower down so handy to try and get the overtakes in before the road is less friendly. The first car - no issues, a Belge doing about 40kmph
The second, again, fairly simple, similar speed to the Belge. Visitors are often freaked out by the mountain road so they go slower
The third car was interesting. She (pretty sure it was a she, which makes the action more surprising, IME) had been going the same speed as the first two cars. But after I'd overtaken them, she speeded up a little bit. Not to be fast or 'local' speed but a bit quicker. So I waited for a longer stretch that was coming then went into the overtake
Bear in mind I'm driving something with a 900cc engine so not powerful or fast, I need to choose overtakes carefully, even downhill. And I have done. This place is a good place as, whilst a bit wiggly, you can see down almost to the next hairpin and can see cars coming up to the hairpin (if you know to look)
As soon as I indicated the bloody driver put her foot down and sped up a LOT
WTAF? On a mountain road, why not just let the car behind do a safe overtake without speeding up???
This sort of thing really pisses me off on normal roads, but it's downright dangerous, irresponsible and fucking stupid on a mountain road
Yes, some people will say just don't overtake then
But it was safe to over take. My usual speed down that bit would be around 70kmph, speed limit is 80kmph and she had been doing 50kmph for the last two bits of road between hairpins, so not exactly fast
I did get past and then proceeded to lose her far back in the distance - without breaking the speed limit or being unsafe!!
But WTAF? Is it soooooo bad to have someone overtake that you would attempt to block them and possibly cause an issue??
I get that they have no idea that in the winter I drive that road a minimum of 10 times a week. Less in the summer but I kinda know it well. Obviously they don't know that. But I really struggle with the idea that people think that kind of driving is ok

What were you driving?
Some people simply don't like the idea that a small car is overtaking them.

I like using cruise control.
I set it on the motorway at 70mph.
Sat in the slow lane I catch up with slower cars, pull out into the middle lane to overtake and they speed up.
It happens almost every overtake, I don't think they do it deliberately, I think they see something in the corner of their eye and just speed up unconsciously, either that or they're all cunts.

Get that overtaking thing a lot where i am. Its all mostly country roads with some faster areas but if they want to speed up hey ho. I pull back in and they are either now going the speed i was or even faster and i can carry as as i was. One that boils the wifes piss is the ones up the back bumper trying to push her on. Way i see them idiots is its annoying them more than me. Braking with the box rather than the brake seems to annoy them as well as 5mph under the road limit. If they do pass you end up right behind them minutes later as all the towns round here are now 20 zones anyway.
