Silly Car wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 2:19 pm I’ve never thought of that even though I’m aware of pill crushers for some reason.

I’m a throw it down the throat type of pill dispenser, even with the cats, sometimes it takes a couple of attempts.
After the recent events with our dog, and his ability to find and reject tablets and even refuse food with crushed tablets in it 🤦‍♀️, we discovered pate was the trick. Shove a tablet or two in a teaspoon of Sainsbury's cheapest pate and it doesn't even touch the sides 😆👍
Sausages work for our one. She normally sniffs food and takes it from your fingers very gently, but all bets are off with sausage. So broken up tablets into sections of Tesco cumberlands and it vanished without trace! :D Dont want to tempt fate but she does seem to be recovering well now!

I "stretched" another cross stitch piece. Not really sure what to do with it as I sewed it for a particular person that I no longer speak to. Not that I suspect it would have been appreciated but hey ho, I bought it for said person and stitched it for them.

SOooo. Now what to do with it ?? I always stitch a project with the recipient in mind and I'm kinda loath to give it to another friend (not that I have many that would appreciate the subject - person used to be a diver ) - the kit was bought about 20 years old and finished about 8 years ago (didn't have the money to frame it before, and as said, no it's not going to the originally planned recipient)

I'm half inclined to give the piece to a friend to sell to go towards funding her son's ski racing.

But, if anyone else fancies it, let me know and I can get it posted in the UK !!

The backing board/picture is 30cm square, not a lot of edge to add a frame but a decent framer could put some more board around it to enable a mount board and frame to be added.

It's kinda cool and was the first time I stitched blue on blue (not simple!!) but I only see the person I stitched it for when I look at it now, so I won't be keeping it :(

Also finished stretching this one !! This I may well keep as I have always loved the sax and I do have a decent contact to buy a frame and mount online :) :) Will keep it like this until I know where I'm going to live !!

Just back from a bike ride where it would have been better to have had a canoe. Bib shorts felt like a full nappy!

1000m today, non stop :)

At 950 I had a bit in the tank so sprinted the last 50 hard. I like to finish exhausted.

It worked :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Watched the Silverstone FormulaFarce1. Amused by Verstappen crying because he couldn't get his act together & blamed the car as usual.

Went swimming outside. Or open swimming as it gets called these days.

Baked a cake. Fed it to the neighbours.

Spent the last 2 days working at Silverstone. Yesterday I was too hot, today I was too damp. Very little in the way of breakdowns or incidents so lots of traffic control. Great couple of days with a great bunch from various organisations.

Booked tickets to SA flying Premium Economy so I can actually fit in the seats... January 2026 will be a warm holiday! Going to sort car hire later on and will find an SUV that I can fit in as it makes sense to have something with size on those roads.
