Mmmm. If you are going to let him pretend to be a woman in all areas of life and law then shirley he/she/it should go to a woman's prison.
It's a bit of a problem for the authorities I guess. Put him in a men's prison and he'll probably get attacked; put him in a woman's prison and women inmates may get attacked.
What a fine mess.

Why would I let him do that?

Why is he in more danger than other revolting sex criminals?
He doesn’t have to pretend to be a woman when he’s in jail. Or any other time.

Re: In todays news...
Only on RTTL would people get hung up on the gender identity of the criminal, rather than the criminal act.
I'm sure the victim here really cared what the person flashing their bits chose to call themselves

They have already tried putting them in women's prisons, it ended as you'd expect.Yambo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 6:55 pm

BDad used to 'commute' to Brussels - well, he lived there for work and came back every second weekend to take us out for the weekend.Felix wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 8:08 pm Wow 35 years since the Herald of Free Enterprise went down.

This happened no long after that time and close enough that it hit me hard just thinking that it could have happened to him (he still went to Brussels regularly but car/boat). It was, as Potter says, harrowing to read
If I remember rightly (from what he said) it wasn't unusual to set sail without the doors fully closed

I passed my test the year before so thankfully the closed doors rules were well in place before i started to cross over by ferry to Euroland.

Re: In todays news...
It still makes me nervous everytime I use the ferries cross channel. I have zero faith that humans learn from mistakes, so just don't look as it was my only way to cross channel - I have used the chunnel since and it's ok, but has other worries for someone that is quite claustrophobic - I'm ok in most ways but being in a tunnel under a lot of water pushes quite a few buttons in my brain!!

Re: In todays news...
IIRC they took RoRo ferries to the Falklands, carrying military vehicles. But before sailing, they had bulkheads/baffles fitted inside to reduce the likelihood of them capsizing should water have got into the load area.
That was 1982.
