Why does a minister of religion get a 50% rebate on council tax?

Why does a minister of religion get a 50% rebate on council tax?
Because we have to live in accommodation provided by Church near the place of worship we are licensed to. This means that we have to leave our principal home to live elsewhere. The Government in their wisdom decided that this deserved a 50% rebate in council tax as the owner is not leaving for convenience or choice. The same applies for Military people who have to live on base and their homes are vacant and other such instances where living on site is a necessity of the job. So not just ministers of religion, lots of other bods as well, I just fit into that category because of my life choices.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

I'd be more worried that they have also signed you up to a discount club that will take money every month, keep an eye on statements and check your emails carefully as it is probably buried in there somewhere so they can prove you were told. Edit: Cancelling your card will have taken care of that.
Yeah, this might be a sticking point to getting the bank to give me the money back. They may have done it, but after you lot pointed out my error, I jumped on the proper website and did it myself. It didn't say it was already SORN'd so I don't know if they had done it or not. I do know their T & Cs say I have 14 days to cancel, but the email address just bounces back and there's no other way to contact them, so I hope that that is something in my favour when the bank weighs everything up.

14 days to cancel but no way to contact them is probably enough for your to get your money back, you tried the proper channels and they failed.

Don't know what the requirements are to 'officially' cancel, but 'whois' lookup on the url and variations of companies house or business directories might help?

Have you tried the Angel Delight No Added Sugar?

Don't.

I flippin' loves AD, even Butterscotch (which was invented in Doncaster, butterscotch, not AD), but the Sugar free stuff is horrible.

Arthritis is boiling my piss, good and proper. Turns out I have plenty of it! Oh well, could have been worse I suppose? I could have got it in my late 40s instead of my late 50s!
